Only giving one star because I cannot give anything lower. The stay was horrendously uncomfortable. The internet (“High-Speed Internet” quoted from the guest directory) in our room takes about three minutes to load up Google.ca, the TV is straight-up dead even when plugged in, and the fire extinguisher is wayyyyyyyy past the best before date, which is a huge fire safety issue. The breakfast was decent, though the staff are not necessarily friendly. After two quick calls to the front desk about two legitimate questions on the public BBQ, the lady who answered got obviously annoyed. We also called the front desk to complain about the internet problem mentioned above and the response way JUST “We’ll look into it.” And that’s it. Zero testing and absolutely no improvement in the duration of our stay. Then a maid came by to deliver towels, to whom I talked to about the internet again. She told us in a surprised manner that she never heard another complaint about the internet, and promised us to test the speed and try to fix it. We never heard from her or anyone else on the issue again. Cherry on top? The bath tub had an obvious soap scum from god-knows how long ago. And the sofa had broken springs. I am literally typing this review in the hallway (which is littered with luggage carts) to have at least bearable internet. Never going to return. Owner, train your staff better and get...
Read moreGreat suite, great service. We arrived on a Monday and we’re impressed with the service, amenities, and room. The kitchen was large with full sized appliances including a dishwasher. It’s right next to the rattlesnake canyon amusement park, so we were a little concerned about noise but it wasn’t an issue at all. There is a bbq area on the main st side and a deck with tables and chairs, all in good condition. Parking was convenient. Breakfasts are buffet style with hot scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon or sausage, a fresh waffle station, decent drip coffee, fruit, cereals, etc.. we were all satisfied. There was a forest fire burning very close to us, causing a power outage at one point, and the staff were really helpful in providing information. Ultimately we had to leave early due to smoke affecting some of our group, and the fires were getting too close to town, displacing a lot of locals. I hope someone benefited from our leaving early. I can wholly recommend this place and if I return to Osoyoos for a vacation with my family, this would be my...
Read moreStayed at several quality hotels during car trip from BC to Manitoba. Being elderly, my wife and I planned a relatively short drive each day and found early check-in time for all hotels, to the best of my recollection to be 3:00 pm. Unfortunately website for Best Western Plus in Osoyoos showed 4:00 pm for earliest check-in. Since we were traveling from Cranbrook to Osoyoos (short drive with hour gained due to time zone change) I called Best Western Plus Osoyoos from Cranbrook the evening prior to request a 3:00 pm check-in for my long held reservation. Was told by desk clerk that 3:00 pm check-in couldn't be assured and that it would depend on housekeeping manager. When I arrived at Osoyoos about 3:15 pm I was permitted to check in but asked why one of the first rooms to be cleaned that morning couldn't have been earmarked for me. They didn't provide a meaningful answer. In summary, a nice clean hotel but what I considered to be a reasonable request was beyond their willingness to accommodate until we...
