Bridal Falls Motel — Hotel in Area D (Popkum/Bridal Falls/Wahleach)

We were excited to see that the laundry was 24 hours on the pamphlet that they gave us at the front so we put our laundry in. the building was locked up so our stuff was sitting in the machine till 8 AM and we have to re-pay four dollars per load to wash it all again. Plus now we’re waiting for laundry to be done in the morning when we’re supposed to be leaving. I tried talking to them about how the pamphlet was wrong and nobody informed us that it was so we would like them to pay for our loads that had to be re-washed since it’s more expensive than even a laundromat… but the service was incredibly rude and hostile and you could tell that they didn’t care we were stressed about this at all. they said they’re not gonna refund it and on top of that defended themselves why we shouldn’t be complaining. The signs saying the updated hours were very hard to find and not in plain sight so it was an obvious to us first timers here. I booked 2 nights in this motel for myself and 2 children, so we can go to Bridal Falls waterpark. The room is very dusty and doesn't appear to have been cleaned for a long time. Since it's summer, we turned on the AC but it just circulated more dust. The bathroom is also outdated, with an unpleasant smell and visible rust and stains on all the fixtures. We weren't able to sleep due to the heat, dust and from itching, so we decided to leave the next morning. The booking process was also quite challenging. I had to call or email them and when I asked if I can make a slight change on the same day, they went ahead and change it and charged me a cancellation fee. Also, they didn't inform us that the Bridal Falls waterpark slides are closed. While I understand it is a separate facility, it would have been a thoughtful gesture to inform guests to prevent disappointment. August2021. Due to the fires in BC, our family rerouted our camping adventure to Bridal Falls Waterpark. Our kids loved it! A trail to Camperland, where the kids went back and forth to the general store, and we all cooled off (heat wave) enjoying the pool next door. The Manager, Lea made it happen for all of us and we are ALL forever grateful to her. She went above and beyond for us!! My overall review.
