I had to hunt for it a little, but it was so worth it. It was empty when I arrive at about 7. It was in the view of some waterfront homes across the street, but I felt it was quite private. A handful of people came out to watch the sunset but we're nowhere near me. It is covered in smooth rocks, a bit hard to walk on in bare feet, but I did it and went for a little swim. While I was in the water I noticed whales breaching not that far from shore, so I watched them from the water and then from the shore for an hour. The sunset was beautiful, but I scurried away before it was over because the neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks or streetlights so I was worried about getting back safely. There was so little...

A beautiful walk along a road that runs directly beside the sea. Walk, jog, or cycle along as you hear the waves crash, the birds sing, the sea lions roar, and, if you're lucky, a passing orca, humpback, or grey whale exhale. Port-a-potties and garbage bins are the only amenities here, and parking can be limited. The beach is pebbly, though there are sandbars...

This is the best beach in the area. Long and easy to walk on. If a fallen tree stops you from continuing, you can just take a detour to the road using many access points. The beach offers great spots to watch the sunset. My wife and I spent a peaceful evening drinking beer there. The whales were visible in distance. I created a core memory that day.
