This was a very fun trail! I loved the added touches like the wooden carvings. It’s great to see parks get this creative. We also saw lots of skunk cabbage and various mushrooms.
We followed the AllTrails loop, which took us about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The first half of the trail is very stroller-friendly. The return route via Nile Creek Service Road was okay, but keep in mind that you’re really out in the wilderness. The connector trail back to the main path is not accessible—thankfully we had an all-terrain stroller, but it was a bit of a struggle. I’d recommend sticking to the main trail for the return, as the service road isn’t particularly scenic anyway.

Read moreThis is a wonderful trail for all levels of walkers and even wheelchair users. The trail is made up of well compressed gravel and well constructed wooden bridges all made to allow for easy travel. The trail wanders through the woods crisscrossing the old railway now and then and there is great signage. At the top end of the trail there are even washrooms. There are even benches scattered along the way. You have a choice once you are half way of either returning by the same trail or taking the logging road, but the logging road is less smooth and the last section from this road to the parking lot which goes through the woods if fairly rough and certainly not wheelchair accessible. Its a beautiful trail that literally goes for miles.it is also a great placecto walk your dog,.. hike,.. bike,.. jog,.. and even to just meander through the afternoon.
