This was a very fun trail! I loved the added touches like the wooden carvings. It’s great to see parks get this creative. We also saw lots of skunk cabbage and various mushrooms.

We followed the AllTrails loop, which took us about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The first half of the trail is very stroller-friendly. The return route via Nile Creek Service Road was okay, but keep in mind that you’re really out in the wilderness. The connector trail back to the main path is not accessible—thankfully we had an all-terrain stroller, but it was a bit of a struggle. I’d recommend sticking to the main trail for the return, as the service road isn’t particularly scenic anyway.

There’s plenty of parking at the trailhead, and it’s easy to find. A public washroom is also...

This is a wonderful trail for all levels of walkers and even wheelchair users. The trail is made up of well compressed gravel and well constructed wooden bridges all made to allow for easy travel. The trail wanders through the woods crisscrossing the old railway now and then and there is great signage. At the top end of the trail there are even washrooms. There are even benches scattered along the way. You have a choice once you are half way of either returning by the same trail or taking the logging road, but the logging road is less smooth and the last section from this road to the parking lot which goes through the woods if fairly rough and certainly not wheelchair accessible. Stay on the main trail and...

I gave this site 4 out of 5 stars only to keep room for improvement. That said, this trail is located in the community of qualicum bay. Its a beautiful trail that literally goes for miles.it is also a great placecto walk your dog,.. hike,.. bike,.. jog,.. and even to just meander through the afternoon. When you find yourself and your family in the lighthouse community and want a scenic interlude with nature then this is a must. I could go on ,.. however you need to expierience the tranquility of the lighthouse community and the friendly members of its...

Well groomed, accessible trail close to Qualicum Beach. Parking lot has plenty of room and easy to get to. The second half of the trail is on a work road, so some might want to retrace their path back. Also, as we experienced first hand, remember to be aware of wildlife in the area, especially if you are walking your dog - be prepared with the basics ... whistle and bear spray. We met a large, black bear who gave us a fright.

Great hike if you are wanting wide trails, flat terrain, stop along the way and seeking themed rocks. When I go around holidays someone has a special talent in decorating rocks that are placed along the main trail. Quite a number people enjoy and count along the way. Great for wheels chairs. A few families do use this as a bike trail. Able to connect onto other trails. And there is a porta potty at both ends of the trail.
