We recently had an outstanding dining experience at the Sandbar Restaurant and Art Gallery near Qualicum Beach, British Columbia.
Our family gathering of seven was exceptionally pleased with the amazing dinners we received. From the moment we arrived, the welcoming atmosphere and the artistic decor set the tone for a memorable evening.
Our waitress, Brook, was phenomenal. Her friendly and attentive service made us feel right at home. She was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations.
I had coconut mussels, as suggested by Brook, which were perfectly cooked and flavorful. For our other main courses, we enjoyed the oyster dinner and the oyster burger, both of which were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented.
The unique combination of dining and art added a special touch to our experience. We enjoyed browsing the local artwork displayed throughout the gallery, which created a charming and culturally enriching ambiance.
Overall, Sandbar Restaurant and Art Gallery exceeded our expectations with its delicious food, exceptional service from Brook, and a unique atmosphere. It's a must-visit spot near Qualicum Beach, and we highly...
Read moreHighly recommended by a friend and her husband. First time I tried it with my friend. It was delicious and great service. Couldn’t wait to take my husband there. When I finally took my hubby we sat outside on the balcony to enjoy the sunshine and ocean view, which was absolutely lovely. However, an update on the lawn furniture would be a definite welcome. Sadly when we went, the food and drinks were terrible. The service was OK . Asked for the Caesar to be extra extra muddy, the colour of Coca-Cola. It came out bright red. We asked the server for more Worcestershire, but she told us she put extra in and didn’t bring any. I ordered the fish and chips and the fish was extremely greasy. My husband said his scallop burger and sweet potato fries were mediocre. Now I believe in being fair so we’ve had one good experience one bad experience. We will definitely give it a third...
Read moreLovely little cafe on the coast. Charming interior isn't fancy but is exactly the kind of warm welcoming place I look for while on vacation. Tables aren't crowded together and there is fun artwork of wildlife and nature on the walls that is for sale that would make excellent reminders of a great day. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was very good. I had the eggs benedict and it was perfect. Possibly the best cubed hashbrowns I have ever had. My husband had the crispy Caesar wrap ( good but he would have liked a little more sauce) and the clam chowder. He raved about the soup. Small places often get soup from a can, not so here. (If it is from a can, I want the name of it!) I tried it and agreed that it was on par with clam chowder from any of the best seafood restaurants we have been to. I highly...
