Beachway Park in Burlington is a fantastic destination for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Lake Ontario. This park offers a perfect blend of natural scenery, recreational activities, and peaceful relaxation. The sandy beach is well-maintained, providing a great spot for sunbathing, picnicking, or simply enjoying the stunning lake views. The water is usually calm, making it ideal for swimming on warm summer days.

One of the highlights of Beachway Park is its picturesque waterfront trail, which is perfect for walking, jogging, or cycling. The path stretches along the shoreline, offering breathtaking views and a refreshing breeze off the lake. It’s a great place to take a leisurely stroll or get some exercise while soaking in the natural beauty of the area.

The park also features picnic areas, benches, and green spaces where visitors can relax and unwind. Whether you’re spending time with family, friends, or just enjoying a solo escape, the park offers a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. The nearby Pavilion provides refreshments, snacks, and washroom facilities, ensuring a comfortable visit.

What makes Beachway Park even more special is its accessibility and free parking, making it an easy and affordable getaway. Whether you’re looking for a spot to enjoy a summer day, take a scenic walk, or simply admire the lake’s beauty, Beachway Park is a must-visit in Burlington. It’s a hidden gem that offers a little something for everyone, and I highly...

Great beach if you do not want to go too far out of the city. This is a long stretch of a beach with a long (not wide) narrow parking area which stretches along the road as far as the beach does. Parking is very limited & is paid on weekends. Try reaching early on weekends or visit on weekdays.

The best part is the water is shallow at the shore which allows adults as well as kids to go quite a bit into the water and even then it goes till waist height. Because of shallow water, it is also warm and gets warmer as the day progresses.

The cleanliness of the beach & water depends on where you settle down. When facing the water, the right side of the beach is the most clean with no rocks in water and clean sand.

Right at the centre of the beach are changerooms, shower & washrooms. There are also porta potties along with hand washing stations. There is also a small playground here & a boat/float rental shack.

Overall, a good beach in the city. 5 stars, if it was not for the...

Reach by 8:30 AM during summer weekends if you want a parking spot as well as the best possible spot on the beach. If you get late, you may have to park at a far off location (near Spencer Smith park or any of the streets around) and walk ( 0.7 - 1 km) to the beach.

Otherwise, it's an amazing to place to be during summer. It has everything needed for a full day of fun - Change rooms, restrooms, picnic area, playground and of course, BEACH!

Halton residents typically get 10 parking passes through Beachway park parking exemption form. The exemption form is available on the Beachway park website. You will 100% be ticketed if you don't pay for parking or don't get an exemption through their website.

On a side note, please check the water quality in the Halton website before heading there. Also, don't enter the beach if it has rained in the last 48 hrs due to high risk of E.Coli...

Surprisingly great spot near Burlington and very close and accessible to Hamilton. It’s a very nice sandy beach leading out into a couple of sand bars which are very kid friendly and shallow. The beach is long as well so lots of spots to set up but I’d still advise getting there early to get your first choice. The only weird bit is that the beach is located directly under some power lines. Also because parking is definitely an issue with later arrivals. It’s paid parking and a lot of people park illegally once spots are gone. The area is patrolled and you will get a ticket. Wheelchair access to the lake is available down one end close to where some food trucks set up.

Ever wonder about the health benefits of a beach day, considering the modern-day fun mix of 600-1000 volts of electricity buzzing above us like a pesky mosquito that won't quit, coupled with the sun's radiation giving us its best microwave impression? And let's not forget the ever-present phones and gadgets in our hands, probably whispering sweet nothings of electromagnetic love. So, does hitting the beach these days actually add years to our lives, or are we just marinating in a tech-savvy, sunbaked cocktail of the future? One can only ponder!
