Late May 2022 weekday before noon. Much fly and mosquito on the way.The pamphlet, map provided at the Trail start and sign post along the path are not helpful. There is no orientation of the North nor "Here you are". Post marked as Baxter Trail 2.8 km or Medda Mountain Trail 0.6 km are encouraged but Millbrook Trail instead actually. The early portion of 3km or so is up and down slope but manageble by adult but not family. The latter portion meanders along snaking creeks (Baxter Creek ?) on boardwalk some floating over water in the wetland. Sun is high in the sky near noon and temperature is already 27C and climbing to 30C soon.No mosquito repellant spray on body, determine cut short the trip and return to parking lot next to closed Cavan Monaghan Library. Some moms with lovely kids are having gathering on the lawn in its shade. Afterthought : park the vehicle at the trail west start on Elgar Dr or MNR Fishing and Recreation Area off Zion Line (4thLine) taking the Meadow, Cedar, Grand Trunk Trails might serve family fun and safety better in my opinion. Enjoy...

Its a beautiful place, hands down. The trails are great for hiking, especially for excersise since it has a high incline and theres a great picknick area nearby. It has a murky pond near the picknick area, definitly NOT for swimming, but the lake is home to lots of geese and ducks with a beautiful shoreline full of flowers in the summer. The trails deeper into the woods are riddled with little streams and has plenty of wildlife around and is all in all quite a peaceful place with not much waste around. The only downsides I can think of is the giant patches of poison ivy near the beginning of the trails and all of the guano coming from the geese near the picknick area. Other than that I would recommend these trails for a short hike, since they...

Just started hiking and trying out new trails. I came tonight around 7pm while the sun was setting and started my walk. I was warned by a nice lady with her dog that it gets very dark on the trails. This was accurate and somewhere along the way I got lost and my flashlight just so happened to die. I feel like if I were to of went earlier it would of been a lot easier to navigate and I would be able to spend less time worrying about how to get out and be able to enjoy the scenery.

Some more signage would be nice. Will update my review...

Its routes are very easy to access. With a very low level of difficulty making them very easy for those who do not have experience in hiking. There are not many parking options, but if you want to walk a little you can leave the car in the center of town and from there you can find access to its trails. If you are a lover of fishing around the orange loop you can find two small lakes in which you can do it.

Beautiful place. Lush, green and calming with the brooke in the background. Trails could be better marked and are extremely dark in some places. We got lost at the end and struggled to find our way out. Nice incline without being too challenging. Not stroller friendly and bridges are quite unstable but we had a great time. A gem in baileborough!
