Chase, British Columbia Review

Chase is a small, picturesque village located at the western end of Little Shuswap Lake, known for its stunning natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. Nestled between rolling hills, Chase offers a variety of outdoor activities, making it a great destination for nature lovers. With access to Shuswap Lake, residents and visitors can enjoy swimming, boating, kayaking, and fishing. The village is also home to scenic spots like Chase Falls and several hiking and biking trails.

The community in Chase is warm and close-knit, offering a relaxed, small-town vibe. Local festivals, farmers' markets, and events create a welcoming environment, making it easy to feel at home. While it’s a small village, Chase has essential amenities like restaurants, cafes, and shops, though larger city conveniences may require travel to nearby Kamloops or Salmon Arm.

Tourism is a key aspect of Chase's appeal, especially during the summer months when visitors come for outdoor activities and lakeside fun. Its location along the Trans-Canada Highway makes it easily accessible, though getting around within the area is most convenient by car.

In conclusion, Chase is an excellent place for those seeking a quiet retreat with strong ties to nature. While it may lack the variety of services found in larger cities, its charm lies in its peaceful, natural surroundings and tight-knit community. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, Chase offers a wonderful balance of tranquility...

Enjoyed walking down to the creek area on the new path with new benches and lovely new sculpture by the creek. It is an easy must see spot in Chase BC. But to get close to the waterfall is a bit of a rock scramble as they could only make the new easy accessible area down to the stream not all the way to the waterfall due to annual high water flooding beyond easy part of path. We take most new visitors we have and those with physical challenge can enjoy the shady benches, new sculpture and creek and a slight peekaboo of the waterfall area. There are no admission fees or lines to get to waterfall, only rocks so wear...

Used to be one of the nicest rest areas in BC. Until the village sold the rest stop to the now debunked Tree Topp flyers and they shut down the bathrooms, rest area and put their landing shipping container there now it's covered in weeds nobody stops here and the trails to the falls have fallen into disrepair and the falls are slowly becoming a very well hidden gem it's worth the hike but no longer as child friendly and due to having to park across the highway and it being a bit of a pain to find the parking at least there aren't a bunch of people...

It was a little tricky finding the parking, which is on the opposite side of the highway from the falls, but the walk there was less than ten minutes. Follow the path under the highway and past the zip line area. Follow the creek up and you'll see it. Pretty great waterfall and when we were there you could walk right up to it with water levels lower in the river.

We parked across the highway and walked under it to get to the falls. You could park in the zipline parking lot which is on the side of the highway with the falls. It is a short walk with lots of rocks to climb over if you want to get closer. Nice and quiet with only the roar of the water to be heard, even being so close to the road.
