I wanted to try Loon on the Lake for lunch on my way home from Shuswap. When I got there, it was pretty busy for a Tuesday morning and had to wait a little for my meal. However, I was immediately attracted to their menu and baked good in the display fridge. They also had coffee thermoses on the fixings station.

I ordered The Big Shuswap with bacon, scrambled eggs and multigrain toast and a regular size cappuccino. The drink was great and thoroughly enjoyed every sip of it, even in a paper cup. The toast was fantastic since it was made and baked straight from their kitchen. I liked it so much that I even bought a loaf to bring home. The bacon was very good from how it was cooked to perfection. The scrambled eggs and hashbrowns were solid good. I also had the luxury of trying some of their baked goods like the Cream Horn and the Assorted Sweet Loaf.

Despite the worn-down, antiquated look of the establishment, I found it to be quite welcoming from both the staff and customers that were there. The service was admirable, and I understood that they had to help other customers during their busy hour.

All in all, I was really glad I stopped by Loon on the Lake. I enjoyed everything about their café. I do not know when I will back in Chase to pay my patronage again, but I do wish...

Craigs is a pretty sweet stop in Chase. Wide selection of baked goods and pastries, though they have been somewhat hit or miss with us (sometimes some items are rather dry, and the strudels definitely need more filling). We most often come in for breakfast and lunch. They have awesome meals with great portions for an extremely reasonable price. Nikki's service in particular is top notch and super appreciated. You can see how hard of a worker she is. I personally don't like that masks are needed for workers especially when patrons are sitting and eating a foot away without masks. Just doesn't make sense. We stop in every week or two when in town or passing through in the AM. Their breakfast kaisers are just silly delicious.. always paired with a lavender London fog, makes me feel spoiled!! (Pictured is the Clubhouse on Sourdough. Huge sandwich and...

I always have to stop here when I'm in town, the breakfast is exceptional. I discovered this bakery a few years ago and when I'm in the area I make a point of stopping. My group and I stopped in this morning, we ordered two omelets one "spicy Chase" and the other "triple" sorry if I'm getting the names wrong, both omelets were very good, over an inch of filling in them , great cheese and the toast on the side was incredible (sour dough) i highly recommend you try it, arguably my new favorite sourdough, on the side I also had the breakfast sandwich on the kaiser, equally good. We also picked up a half dozen assorted donuts, the long john eclairs are really good. Definitely stop here if your in the area, you won't be...
