Interesting Park (at the far end of Collingwood). Decided to take a small detour as we were heading back to Orillia from Bruce Peninsula during our summer road trip back in Aug 2022. View of Georgian Bay was super. Facilities were minimal but neat and tidy. We witnessed what appeared to be a sort of emergency fire drill with a bunch of helicopters, police cruses, ambulances, and fire trucks. The only bad thing about this place is that eyesore gray building looking more like an abandoned silo or something. Maybe it should be demolished (just my own opinion). PS: And yes I agree with several folks who complained about parking using your cell phone to pay. I am not a phone person and I DO NOT CARE about having data-plans. I WANTED TO PAY for parking but there was no other option so we took a risk and didn't pay. It seems like that EVERYWHERE. And like some folks in these reviews, Collingwood and all other small towns and cities: they are killing their own tourism industry. They should also accommodate for people with no cell phone. Even in places like Ottawa, Toronto, or east of Orillia one can find parking machines that at least allows one to use other methods of payments....

Although we weren't allowed to pay to stay, which was both weird and frustrating. The view was wonderful However.

If people cannot capture a moment and disperse, what's the impetus to come BACK to Collingwood to spend MONEY or TIME in the city?

And regardless of the retort, it left a sour taste in my wife's mouth and wondered if we would ever be back with the children.

Ah well. Least I got exactly 2 seconds to relax after driving for almost 4 or 5 hours.

Collingwood hospitality does not reflect very well overall on my first interaction in a great many years.

It may be a great many years before...

There's an ethically dubious parking scheme: the marketing for this park doesn't mention that drivers must bring a mobile phone with a data plan. If not, you can't purchase parking hours (online) on arrival at the unmanned car park. I lacked such a data plan when trying to enjoy the historical town of Collingwood... but there is nowhere else to park if you're visiting Millennium Overlook.

Tickets are $100. This is not advertised either. (It's tantamount to a tax on tourists without data plans.)

I hope that this info helps...

We were passing through Collingwood and managed to visit this park during long weekend. Unknown to us was the fact that the Rib Fest was also set up in that park. It wasn't a huge Rib Fest, by size or the number of people attending, but we also got there early. Enjoyed some ribs, chicken, corn on a cob and by the time we left (18:00) people started showing up in large numbers. Being surrounded by water, there was a nice breeze of fresh air hitting the park. If in Collingwood, even if just passing through, don't miss this park.
