Optimist Harbourview Park — Attraction in Collingwood

I wanted to write to tell people about the Accessibility factor in Harbourview Park in Collingwood. It is a beautiful park with long and interesting waterfront and water view trails that meander through an arboretum and across a free launch ramp with plenty of parking, for water sports and across several foot-bridges that span inlets to the harbour. On the right hand side if you are facing the launch ramp the paved pathway leads to a sturdy aluminum ramp and dock where there is an apparatus which will allow disabled people to use a kayak. I was so impressed by this inclusion and accessibility that I took pictures but had a hard time finding the place to post them. Anyway, hats off to Collingwood for this wonderful suggestion that everybody can use...

This is a beautiful place to come for a walk. There's open green areas, tree covered paths, the water meets land at small beaches in some places, there are small bridges over small rivers, and it's all part of the trail that connects to the other trails in town.
