Title: A Perfect Day at Cates Park: Sunshine, Fun, and Relaxation! Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My family and I had an absolutely fantastic time at Cates Park last Saturday! It was a beautiful sunny day, and we couldn't have asked for a better spot to enjoy the outdoors. From the moment we arrived at 12 am, we were impressed with the available parking options, which made our visit hassle-free right from the start. Cates Park offers a range of amenities that cater to families, and we were thrilled to find a spacious picnic area with ample tables. It was the ideal spot for us to enjoy our packed lunch while taking in the stunning views of the park. The playground for kids was an absolute hit with our little ones, who had a blast playing on the swings, slides, and climbing structures. It's great to see a park that caters to children of all ages and keeps them entertained for hours! One of the highlights of our visit was the opportunity to engage in water activities. Cates Park is perfect for paddleboarding and boating, and we brought our own paddleboards to make the most of the calm waters. The experience was simply incredible, and the peaceful ambiance allowed us to relax and connect with nature in a unique way. We were pleasantly surprised by the incredible marine life we encountered at the park's ocean side. The presence of starfishes in the water was a delight to behold, and we were able to observe them up close. It's always a wonderful experience to witness nature's wonders in their natural habitat. Lastly, we appreciated the presence of showers at Cates Park, which allowed us to freshen up after a day of fun and exploration. It's a thoughtful addition that made our visit even more comfortable. Overall, our day at Cates Park was nothing short of amazing. The combination of a sunny day, convenient parking, picnic tables, a kids' playground, paddleboarding and boating opportunities, and the opportunity to see starfishes up close made for an unforgettable experience. We left the park feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, and we're already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a fantastic outdoor destination in Vancouver, Cates Park is the place to go! Cates Park is a hidden gem in North Vancouver! This beautiful park offers stunning waterfront views, well-maintained trails, and plenty of picnic spots. The playground is fantastic for kids, and the beach area is perfect for a relaxing day by the water for all ages. There are also kayak and paddleboard rentals available, which add to the fun. The best thing I love most is that there are kinda small secluded beaches along the shoreline overlooking Belcarra and North Burnaby. All accessible by stairs through the north side parking lot close to the washrooms. The park is clean and well-kept, and the atmosphere is peaceful and inviting. It's a great place for a family outing, a leisurely walk, or just to enjoy nature. There is plenty of parking, but it gets busy from time to time. They also have overflow parking.

Great place to have a casual hangout with friends or family. Whether it'd be out boating, tubing, or family day. Lots of space that can be shared. Summer time, they open up the food stand within certain hours. Prices for food are reasonable. Washroom are clean and assuming temporary portable potty for summer. As for the beach, you can find small crabs, star fish, and oysters. Possible of maybe small fish by rocks if low tide. Last time I've been there, it was low tide. I ended seeingdead jelly fish along the shore, multiple starfish (under rocks) and small crabs under rocks. Edit 1: bbq is banned on the park unsure why. Im guessing it's because of "high-extreme fire warning".

Cates park is a great park to visit - if you get there early. Just like many city parks and even provincial parks, the early bird gets the worm, or parking spot. Don’t get me wrong, the park has quite a bit of parking, however, it is obviously a favourite with locals (and not so locals as well) because by 1200 today, there was nowhere to park. This park caters to boaters picnickers, would-be sailors, canoeists, kayakers and paddle boarders. With the waters around Cates park being relatively well protected from high surf, it is a great park to partake in any of the aforementioned aquatic sports. The water is, for the most part, pretty clean looking and calm. The only large-ish waves there are those cause by powerboats flying by near the middle of the sound. People swim and have even been seen snorkeling in the park.

It has a couple of decent beaches with pretty coarse sand test most of them are pebbly (is that even a word?) with rocky outcrops.(Most rocks are pretty smooth, not too many with sharp edges)

Today, we took our inflatable 16’ kayak and paddled around for about two hours. We could have paddled to Deep Cove from there but decided against it as it was our first time on the boat. Next time we will make it there for sure.

The scenery is pretty NW, with great views of SFU, BBY Mountain and then Ironworker’s Memorial Bridge.

We arrived at around 0945, and left at around 1245. It was getting pretty hot and very busy. There are picnic areas but we did not come prepared for a picnic. It would be very easy to arrive early in the morning and stay till the evening as there are not time limits in the park for anyone except those launching boats.

Can’t wait to go back and try...

Dear Management ,

I am writing to you as my horrible and overwhelming experience leads me to start legal complaints against your property as a Canadian tourist . my wife and I came to Seven Seas hotel in Kemer on July 18th and after talking with reception , they introduce someone from outside called John with contact number +905455655732 he forced us to book through him and after a unpleasult conversation which made us more tired , he received 13000 Turkish lira in cash to cover 2 nights. After 2 nights we decided to book one more night , so this time after my request in reception , John called me and pushed me to pay 7200 Turkish lira in cash , but after a long boring and unrespectful conversation , I said I either need to talk with police or I pay with credit card . So the hotel agreed but they locked my room from 5 to 10 Pm .

What I want to know is , why they connected me to one 3rd party  agency ( Myratur ) and why we were faced with lots of insults and unprofessional behaviour .

My vacation is ruined and a very awful memory of Turkey is stocked in our mind. I reserve my rights to file my complaint with attached documents in Turkey and the Canadian tourism association . looking forward to having your...
