Awesome space, that is pretty self sustaining. The building is heated via geothermal. There is a function room that is available for rent, and can hold just over 100 people, depending on what you want to use the space for. There is a public washroom for those who run the stairs or explore the river valley area. It's opened to the public from 9-9 usually. Great toboggan hill in the winter. Watch out for giant massive potholes in the spring. And parking can be a pain sometimes when they are busy. I found that Tuesday evenings are SUPER busy because organizations like to have bootcamp training...

Went there to check out the place as a potential size for a private event booking. Was really well done, really nice facility. Went in March 2019 and the place was still set up for tobogganing. Its a little noisy with Fox drive right there, but really not too bad. Not an insane amount of parking just outside the facility, but there's more about a 5 min walk away. Clean, well maintained and lockers available inside to rent. Would definitely consider renting this in the future for events of...

Great tobagganing hill! My older child loved it. A couple tips:

✅It's really high so kids should start halfway to see if they are comfortable with the speed ✅If all goes well, try higher ✅Parents at the bottom of the hill should always be facing the hill, especially if socializing. the kids come fast and furious and can injure and get injured hitting am idle parent ✅Only one small light, lights up the stairs at night, and the building, but the hill is not lit. So enjoy with caution...

One of my favorite spots for hill hikes! The best centrally located green space that links to various other hiking, run & bike trails. Often you are surrounded by trees that give you a sense of being out of the city! The center is open again! You can warm up in winter or cool down in the summer inside the building—a meeting room for events, restrooms, and water to top up your bottles. Hiking there today and the fall colour is spectacular there! No mosquitoes, best time to hike.

Enrolled my son in the city day camps. They used this centre when the weather wasn't cooperating. It's clean and convenient and enough space for a lot of kids. The washrooms are clean and you don't need to touch anything as everything is automated. It's nice to have a water fountain just in case. I'm glad to enjoy nature but go to this place when nature calls.
