Earnscliffe National Historic Site of Canada — Attraction in Ottawa

Resident of UK high commissioner to Canada. Open house on June 4, 2022. Advance registration required for entry. They had a band playing whole day oldies and offered mini scones and mini meat pie for visitors while opened up their garden and residence to visits.

Nice Victorian trimmed house with stone exteriors. Dinning room is nicely furnished in ocean bleu tone and mid 19 century style furnitures. Mix of modern and classic.

Stately residence of the British High Commissioner. This building is very well maintained. It was once the residence of John A. Macdonald the first Prime Minister of Canada. The view from the dining room overlooking the Ottawa River is to die for - on that topic John A. died on the second floor.
