I played Dundarave on 7/19 and didn’t have the best experience. I come up to PEI every year with family and we try to play different courses every year. I have played Crowbush which is the same owners and that was an amazing experience. So we were very excited to try this course this year and came away being very disappointed. We booked a tee time for 3 of us and got paired up with a member of the course which was great. The issues we had was the conditions of the course and felt being rushed. First was all the bunkers on the course were closed and the condition of the course wasn’t up to par for the costs of round. As far being rushed on the first tee we were waiting on the tee box for the group in front of us to get off the fairway. At exactly the tee time the starter told the member to hit his drive into the group ahead of us on the fairway to speed them up. The member was surprised and said maybe you should go out and speed them up. He said nope just hit your drives. Very surprised we ended up waiting which wasn’t a big deal. On hole 3 the ranger came out to us and said sorry the group in front is still playing slow and they warned them to hurry up. Looking at the gps in the carts it said we were 3 mins behind the pace. I told the ranger that we were not in a rush but to enjoy the day. The group behind was not near us and we didn’t notice the group in front of us by then. We get to hole 7 which has a snack shack for food and drinks. We stopped and got everything we needed because we were told there would be a beverage cart that should of got to us by hole 3. We were glad we did because the cart never came around until hole 15. While we were waiting for the woman to get our food and drinks a ranger came up behind us and asked how much longer do we think we are going to be to continue the round. As I said we were hoping to enjoy our time but just kept feeling rushed from the very beginning. I can say I would not recommend or be back to this course again. I would recommend going to...

I’ve played this course many times. Huge fan of the design. I wish the routing didn’t require carts but if that’s the cost for a great layout, that’s fine with me. It is quite playable for all skill levels. It can be a long round, up to 5 hours, but that’s not unexpected at a resort course that is highly dependent on carts.

Most recently, I noticed the greens had quite a few pitch marks in them, which is probably a product of higher volume guest play and less membership play (speaking as a guest), but otherwise the course was in great shape. There was an issue with having too little sand in the bunkers a couple of years ago but that is no longer an issue, kudos to the grounds crew!

I was disappointed when a group behind us decided to skip a hole to jump ahead of us without asking and proceeded to hold us up for the rest of the round. We called the pro shop and were told the marshall would handle it but no such thing happened. That was something I have never seen on a golf course in my life, and I was disappointed with the lack of response. I don’t expect this to be an issue for any other guests, but still, to not have this addressed was...

Course was in great shape, especially for a late September round. There is some very scenic holes, especially on the water, oyster fisherman 20 yards from the cart path working in the water was pretty cool to see.

The range is full length which was nice, with a decent short game setup as well. The putting green was ridiculously fast, and then when we got on the course the first few greens didn't even come close to the same speed. This was a big negative for me and everyone trying to score on the first few holes. Eventually they sped up and got closer to the practice green.

Fairways were nice and quite firm, sometimes hard to hole if you didn't take the right line. Some fun blind tee shots.

Pro shop is well stocked, with gear from both courses. Food and beverage...

First time at this course, only second time golfing on PEI. First, I was met in the parking lot by an attendant with a cart to load my clubs. Very chipper and upbeat. Directed me to the clubhouse. Inside the clubhouse, the pro shop was exceptional, we'll stocked and the lady behind the counter was very knowledgeable. Onward to the most beautiful course I've had the pleasure to play on thus far. The greens woman at the the first tee took the time to explain the best photo opportunities, in her opinion the best holes. Interesting fact, there isn't a beverage cart here, as there's a canteen around the middle of the course that you can go to. Hole 17 was bay far the most photo worthy, as suggested.
