The staff is welcoming. You can get some good shots of the animals which is better than other zoos. They found a way of getting the animals to move closer to the display windows by putting food there.
I encourage you to get there around 11:30 am and choose Africa, most people will be already eating so you get a chance to see the animals without too much traffic around the display windows.
Then around 1pm go to the cafeteria. That way you will find a table to sit down since most people would have finished eating.
