This is a wonderful inner-town hike in Keewatin. It's true from the other reviews about the trails ending on roads (even the hwy where the main car-park is) and short - you kinda have to know where to go to fully enjoy or make a 'loop' of the trails. It's supposed to connect to an 'urban trail' (following sidewalks and such - it's very elusive where the actual 'trail' is and is more of a 'walking tour') but no one really knows where that is. But you can spend some peaceful time here if you take the off-shoots and there is a lot of wildlife (pelicans, woodpeckers, bald eagles, deer, many water fowl). It's quiet and hike-able year round. There are a few 'sights' from the pioneer days that are poorly marked, unexplained and are slowly disintegrating - but are cool nevertheless. Bugs can be BAD. Including ticks. Depends on the time of year. Also amazing for trail running!

This is a great trail located in the Kenora district of Keewatin. The trail has been worked on over the last few years and is in good condition. The trail is well marked and has some historical points of interest. Part of this trail is urban but you can skip that part of you want and stick to the nature loop.

Cool trail. Lots of little side trails that lead to odd ends like giant piles of sawdust and small walking bridges.

I only saw the short trail, and it was considerably shorter than i had anticipated, and ended on a road(which i didn't expect), a nice forest, but i think the attractions were on the other trails. Maybe next...
