Grand Bend Parasail — Attraction in Lambton Shores

We booked 3 parasailing trips with Grand Bend parasail and spent $398.65 ON 8/20/2023 for a 4pm booking. On their website there are NO FAQs and NO CANCELLATION OR REFUND POLICY or notice that you should arrive hours in advance to try and find parking because of how insanely busy it is. We arrived hours in advance of our booking and tried to find parking, which was unsuccessful. We called Grand Bend parasail at least 45 mins before our booking while looking for parking to explain the situation and try to move out booking to a later time due to the uncontrollable parking situation. The rude female employee LIED TO US AND TOLD US THEY WERE COMPLETELY BOOKED UNTIL 8 PM and we could not move our booking or receive a refund. We then checked online and saw later bookings were available and that we had been lied to and even called back and were told there were later bookings available at 7pm. We requested to be called by a manager to resolve the issue, which they never contacted us back. Grand Bend parasail is a dishonest tourist trap, which counts on this happening to tourists so they can double book and make double the income! They could easily advise on their website to arrive 4+ hours ahead of the booking time to find parking to save people stress, lost time, frustration and loosing hundreds of dollars, but they don't ON PURPOSE. The employee even admitted she has many, many people calling her upset for the same reason because it happens all the time. It is very clear that this is intentional to make more money by business and double book people who can't make their booking on time. I am request a refund due to dishonest business practices, being directly lied to by the employee, lack of transparency on their website and no faq, refund or cancellation policy present. Learn from my mistake, do your research and find a better parasailing company who values HONESTY over...

The actual experience when on the boat was amazing! The Captain and 1st mate were awesome. (Mitch and Seb, I believe were their names). They made us feel totally comfortable and safe the entire time. Being up in the air and seeing the views was incredible.

The price is great!

My only complaints were a lack of disclosure on a few things. When we booked we had no idea that we would have to park and walk for close to 30/40 minutes to get to the check in booth. We figured there was a designated parking. We should have asked but it also should state the parking issues. This was not a problem for us because we do not have mobility issues and even though it was a 4 hour drive to get there we left ourselves extra time thankfully because we needed it for the walk.

It should also state that you will be sharing the boat with other people besides the crew. We lucked out and had a great group on the boat with us, but many have anxiety or other issues where being on such a small craft with others they do not know could pose a problem.

Lastly, the lack of organization at the tent before boarding was unreal! Made us question whether we were even going to go through with going. The Captain of another boat had to go find his passengers making that boat late leaving, we had to ask for our GoPro even though she gave it to others who showed up after us. The way she spoke on the radio about paying customers to another coworker was highly unprofessional and very rude.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would absolutely recommend to anyone, I would just warn them of the parking so they are prepared!

We had really bad experience last day, we booked the tickets for 7 people and asked whether we can take the observers along with us, the lady who booked the tickets for us through the online charged 40 dollars for each observers and we already mentioned her about the age of the children… they agreed and booked the tickets for us, we came there by 4 hours of journey and the lady over the spot who told us she is the boss and she didn’t allow us to take the observers, and was behaving really rude and bossy we requested and she didn’t even consider us to go for 2 trips at least so that we can all enjoy do not leave the kids there by themselves..she didn’t do anything and told us can’t even cancel the tickets… so what we should do? Coming there after 4 hrs of journey only to enjoy the parasailing and even booked prior… we showed the website clause that they have on the website that tells we can take kids as long as they enjoy the ride and so and so… she didn’t even willing to see that all she said was “ I am the boss I can say anything “. We called the online booking who booked the tickets for us and asked why she didn’t mentioned it before that we can’t take observers and she said I am sorry that was a mistake, she accepted her mistake and she told us to refund the amount but the Bossy lady over the spot said didn’t matter what ever they say the final word is mine.. We have never seen such a rude and bossy person ever in our life… she spoiled our day… Finally two of them needs to stay for taking care of kids and they didn’t refund their amount even though that was fully their mistake and miss communication error.
