There's some access to the river, although you'll need to be careful as the weir is just very close by. If you're into fishing, this can be a good spot to catch small walleye, and various types of sucker fish. There is a sign indicating the presence of sturgeon in the water. Read moreVery nice area, lots of great walking trails with signs. The bridge was built in 1907 and took less than a year to build. 4 people died during it's construction. This was the highlight of some of the walks and it was breathtaking. Knowing it's the largest and highest of it's kind in the world makes it even more spectacular.
The gazebo was closed off and there wasn't a bench at the top to sit on but there were plenty of benches a quarter of the way up and half way.
