We had a truly memorable visit to Fort Whoop-Up—a place rich in history. The museum was both educational and engaging, offering captivating exhibits that transport you back to frontier times. There’s so much to discover, and the stories of the region are shared with care and depth. One of the highlights was the wagon ride, which added a delightful, old-timey touch to the experience. The chance to pet the small horses and donkey made it feel even more special—especially for animal lovers and families with curious kids. Those little personal interactions bring the whole place to life. All in all, Fort Whoop-Up offers a lovely mix of heritage, hands-on fun, and a welcoming atmosphere. A definite must-see for anyone in the area.

This place is super cool! I got an old fashion recipe for beans, seen a whole bunch of awesome stuff like jail cells and mountie uniforms, got to write with a quill pen. Rode in a horse and buggy, took a tour that way. The little shop in it is a bit pricy but they had really cool fur hats and stuff. Great place for a day out spend an few hours have a picnic in the beautiful areas around the fort you wont be disappointed .

Wonderful way to spend an afternoon or evening with family in Lethbridge. We went on a Thursday and there was a trader tales program going on. It’s educational and informative and interactive experience for children. There was a campfire and sharing of stories over bannock and jam. Also the ice cream is delicious. They give liberal amounts of it! 🍦

Took the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) experience tour with a group today, and I cannot begin to express how incredible this experience is. It was wonderful to hear the history of the Fort and Indian Battle park from Blackfoot perspective. Harris, Blanche, and Julius did a beautiful job of sharing stories and guiding really interesting discussion throughout the day. I learned so much, and had so much fun. I could listen to them talk forever, they are all so knowledgeable and generous with the information they shared. I would love to see more tours in Southern Alberta being offered the way they’ve set up this tour; exemplary work from this whole team. Highly recommend ordering the lunch options too. A picnic (Hickory Street or Charcuterie boxes) on site makes the whole experience even more fun, and the food was great! Huge thanks to Connor and the whole team for working out all the logistics so we could take part in such a fun and...

I was there with my husband, daughter and son-in-law last Saturday. We had the charcuterie picnic. The staff in the gift shop were wonderful. I cannot remember the name of the man who helped us but he setup us with the wagon ride, tour and the picnic to perfection. The wagon ride was guided by Jackson. He was very informative and was very knowledgeable about the history of the bridge also very nice. Julius was the guide for the fort. He was very knowledgeable and told great srories. The picnic was excellent, that little box had so much yummy food and we were very full and satisfied. Thank...
