Took the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) experience tour with a group today, and I cannot begin to express how incredible this experience is. It was wonderful to hear the history of the Fort and Indian Battle park from Blackfoot perspective. Harris, Blanche, and Julius did a beautiful job of sharing stories and guiding really interesting discussion throughout the day. I learned so much, and had so much fun. I could listen to them talk forever, they are all so knowledgeable and generous with the information they shared. Those little personal interactions bring the whole place to life.
All in all, Fort Whoop-Up offers a lovely mix of heritage, hands-on fun, and a welcoming atmosphere. A definite must-see for anyone...
