Awesome market in the summer, a real treasure throne when it's well attended with vendors. The mostly outdoor setting is wonderful for a leisurely day of browsing. Vendors are usually ready to bargain and the atmosphere is very lively and festive. Don't be fooled by the small size of the building either, each one is a veritable maze of small rooms, some with basements and attics all filled with real antique treasures. Whatever you're into in terms of antiques there's probably something here for you. The backdrop of Lake Ontario right outside the Market is amazing on a good weather day and if I remember correctly you can see Toronto in the distance. Not much to eat or drink but sometimes a hot dog stand will be there and there's a Tim Hortons and small Subway very close. It's right alongside the QEW, easy to get off and a breeze to get back...
Read moreFirst time visiting this market. Open Thursdays to Sundays, I think, and holiday Mondays, weather permitting. Everyone will find something to their taste. Read moreThis was my first time visiting the market in over 20 years. There are outside tables and there are also many things to see inside the buildings. A little bit of everything... Household items, clothing, furniture, license plates, tools, clocks, toys, books, VHS / DVDs... Few true antiques, though there are some (most items dating from the past 30-50 years). Not easy to navigate if you have mobility issues... The beautiful old house is a multi-floor vendor space, from basement to attic. Easy to access from the QEW highway, free admission, free parking. Vendors and staff are friendly! Gorgeous location right on the edge of Lake Ontario; used to be located next to Prudhommes...
