A Thrilling Family Adventure at Wild and Play Maple Ridge!
We recently visited Wild and Play Maple Ridge with my son, Owen, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! We were looking for an active and engaging outdoor activity, and Wild and Play definitely delivered.
Owen participated in the Classic Adventure course, and he genuinely loved every single moment of it. Seeing his excitement and confidence grow as he navigated the various obstacles, ziplines, and challenges was truly rewarding. He hasn't stopped talking about it since!
Wild and Play Maple Ridge boasts three exhilarating courses in total, making it a great option for various skill levels and ensuring there’s something for everyone in the family who meets the requirements. It's clearly designed with fun and safety in mind.
Important Note for Visitors: For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, there are specific height and age restrictions that apply to any adventure course. Participants must be at least 5 years old and measure a minimum of 114 cm in height to be able to join. We appreciated how clearly these were communicated, ensuring a smooth experience for everyone.
Beyond the exciting courses, what truly stood out was the exceptional staff. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and clearly dedicated to ensuring everyone had a safe and enjoyable time. Their positive attitude certainly enhanced our visit.
Overall, our visit to Wild and Play Maple Ridge was a huge success. We had a wonderfully memorable day, and Owen is already asking when we can return! We highly recommend Wild and Play Maple Ridge for families looking for an active, fun, and well-managed outdoor adventure. We will...

The park is pretty deep into Maple Ridge, it took us about 35 minutes to get there from Port Coquitlam with minor traffic. Once you get close, the area is well signed and fairly easy to find. There was ample parking at the gates.
Participants have a choice of different courses, our group did the Classic, which consisted of 3 stations, each one increasing in difficulty. In our group of 6 kids, it took them about 90 minutes to complete. The kids in our group were aged 10-13, but I saw others who ranged in age from about 7 up to adults. It seemed fun for all ages, but for anyone who doesn't like heights, it wouldn't be suitable.
Safety seems to be top priority for staff. All visitors get a short intro to using the equipment and info on how many people can be on each platform or apparatus at any given time. All staff were wearing masks and ensured that visitors sanitized their hands between stations. As kids were doing the course, staff patrol the grounds and supervise from below, giving instructions or tips all along.
Staff are easy to identify in their yellow shirts and there were enough on site to address any issues quickly.
Parents can watch their kids from below. There are benches and covered areas to sit, and well marked paths so you know where to be.
The park is fully tree covered, so it is shady and cool, and it was very clean and well maintained.
This activity is fun, but it is pricey. Definitely something to do as a special event but...
Read moreThis place has gotten too expensive. And what the heck is a processing fee? It's higher than GST and isn't mentioned when purchasing a ticket. I know there are places that charge for booking online. I didn't even book online though, but rather bought the ticket at the place. The fee is just a blatant money grab. I don't care what you need to process, that's your problem, eat the cost. Tickets are not cheap to begin with. Tired of businesses charging for any sniff. And why not post the prices right at the admissions kiosk? Afraid that will scare people away? Of course people are less likely to leave when they are already talking to your cashier at the kiosk. And why does a healthy 19 year old need to first go through classic course to be able to book extreme? Might as well let your customers judge their ability rather than holding their hands. Yes, I've done it before, including extreme. No, I don't need to prove it to you with a previous booking, it's likely been too long ago for you to have the booking on the system. You're just wasting my time at that point. And by the way, if you haven't noticed, it's already September, not June. Time to change the pride flag to something else? How about the one that unites is all - the Canadian flag. I get it, you can run the business the way you want it. And I can choose to spend my money elsewhere and avoid this place if possible going forward. On the brighter side, the course was good and...
