️5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - camping. Great campside not far away from the city. Very very clean and great staff. Camp sports are very leveled and spotless clean. Tall trees but not a lot of bush between the sites, not a lot of privacy even tho there is a good distance between the spots. Free sani station with fresh water. Need a male gardenhouse attachment if you want to flash your black tank as the rinse house doesnt have one.
1 star ⭐️ - Day use area on a hot weekend! They need to control the number of people coming in to the day use area and into the main gate itself and stop letting people park on Bell street facing South blocking half of the right lane and very close to already narrow entrance. We could barely get out with the trailer making a right turn considering left lane was packed with people trying to get in. Complete chaos. Appreciate everyone who moved out of the way. Not sure how the guy with the 5th wheel behind us even made a turn. Its a small lake and there are hundreds of people on top of each other on the small beach and in the water. The water in this lake is actually pretty clean but at the beach its like a mud puddle. Definitely do not recommend going to day use are on the hot weekend. BC parks should have a tow truck on stand by, put no parking signs at least for 10 meters from the gate for people with trailers to make a...
Read moreI love going through the forestry and the lake scenery of Rolly. I do have to drive through a bumpy, uneven road coming in, but that is minor. Walking through the trails makes for great leisurely exercise. The layout of the trails are very consistent and really requires no back tracking. The ambiance in those parts are very peaceful and quiet. The wildlife and insects were never a problem when I was out there during my recent venture. The beach area of the lake is very nice, and I like any opportunity to walk on sand in my bare feet. Rolly Lake is a really enjoyable place during the Summer while being a nice time to visit almost any time...
Read moreRolley lake is becoming our favourite lake lately! We have been there twice thus far and we loved it! It is about one hour drive from Vancouver. The lake is surrounded by tall trees and beautiful bushes. The water is clean and in July and August, it is very pleasant to swim. Boating and paddling are also very convenient in this lake as it is not too big. There is also a 2.8 km walking trail around the lake with several viewpoints to the lake. P.S. Motorized boats are not permitted in this lake (even...
