Good selection of different kinds of vendors. There was also a very busy art show sharing half the space this past weekend. There might be more produce in the height of summer. I'm unsure. But there only seemed to be s few veggie vendors at the front. Go early for baked goods and pies. I had a lovely conversation with and bought excellent spicy vegan empanada from a very cordial Maria from Argentina. It was cold outside so it was the perfect non-dairy snack! The busker was very talented! I loved her little guitar! Found the produce slightly over priced. $20 for a plate of jerked chicken and $10 for a bowl of soup. Frankly these are restaurant prices.

It's been over a year or two since I was here last. They have some vendors on the outside and now most of the vendors are inside. This is new to me, plus AC and washrooms were available. This was a very nice change. It's a smaller farmers market, but very clean. Only open on Sunday from 9am to 2pm. Free parking available. You need to check it out. Have a look at my pictures and press the like button! If you like what I do, press the follow button to see what I do next.

I come weekly for the fresher than heck local produce and small businesses. We get our ginger lemonade from Bold, our oxtail or shank lunch from Eatwell1978, and fresh gorgeous flowers from Flowership

For the past few years, the Lakeview Farmers Market was a wonderful Sunday tradition. Great vendors, great prices, events and activities…it really was an amazing community experience. This year it seems there must have been a change in management. Dogs are no longer allowed, there is little change over of vendors (in speaking with a few, it seems it’s become an exclusive list and new vendors are rarely welcomed), and the prices have sky rocketed! There are significantly less vendors than past years and only a couple dealing in food/food related products. The majority of the vendors were selling purses, jewelry, and art. For context, in the past the building was packed; there a few such vendors but the majority were food related (groceries, hot food, pastries, packaged/frozen products) and always someone new trading their wares. Lastly, the lady at the welcome table argued with me about past years and how the market operated and overall, a very disappointing experience. We will be going to the Port Credit farmers market from now on or at least until the bring back the Lakeview Market...

It’s a small farmers market. Has fruit & veggie vendors outside and other vendors inside the Small Arms building. The fruits we picked up were superb. Strawberries that actually taste like strawberries! Other vendors comprise of people selling hand made items. There were stalls selling soap, essential oils, spices, sauces, costume jewellery, hand bags and more. The most interesting stalls where we bought from were the pre-mixed spices from Lexs Pantry, a fabulous lumbar & neck pillow from Lazy Bones. There was this awesome handbag stall with feather light bags but a bit too expensive for me. It was a fun way to spend an hour or two. Live music to keep your toes tapping. Only disappointment was the coffee shop didn’t have any lactose free milk to offer which made us cut our...

Today was our first experience at the farmers market.

The lineup for parking backs up onto Lakeshore (we arrived at 10am) and was a battle to find a spot. When we left at 12pm, the parking situation was similar.

The initial outdoor space is a bit cramped and doesn’t have any shade. The main event is inside the building (dogs not allowed). There is also a very nice shaded outdoor area, but all the way at the other side of the building. It would be nice to have more seating available, there was not much. Also, if you are looking for child friendly activities…none offered.

Prices: Sausage $7, Empanada $6, Lemonade $6, Pierogis (x7), $11, Jerk Chicken Meal...
