Marie Curtis Park and Beach is a fantastic spot for a relaxing and family-friendly day out. The beach, while not very large, offers peaceful lake views and tends to be quieter on weekdays—perfect for a calm escape. On sunny weekends, it can get a bit crowded, but there’s still plenty of space to enjoy. The beach is clean, with public washrooms and stone benches where families can sit and enjoy their packed meals. A major highlight is the attached park with splash pads and playgrounds, ideal for toddlers and children to run around and play safely. It’s also a great place to walk your dog or have a picnic under the shade of the trees. There’s even a chance of spotting trout in the nearby river. With BBQ areas, a waterfront trail for jogging, and a water park for kids, it truly caters to all age groups. Just a small heads-up: the water can be rocky and has some algae in certain areas, so take care when stepping in. Overall, it's a beautiful and convenient destination worth visiting. ‼️Just be aware:

Lots of rocks and algae under the water. So be careful when...

I must say, the reviews I read online made me decide to spend the entire day there with my family. It’s a fantastic location. It is spotless, well kept, and has a nice, quiet day to hang out with close family and friends. It’s also a great park and a vast space; if you're looking for somewhere nice to have a BBQ, kids' party, maternity photo shoots, or family shoots, that’s the place. The park is immaculate, well-maintained, and kept. It is a one-stop, fun location for families with kids. There’s a pool, water park, and an actual kids' park with swings, bicycle trails, workout swings, rails, and clean washrooms; the beach side is immaculate, and the water is crystal clear. Lots of lifeguards, etc. bonus ( Free parking) if you arrive early 🤣will be going...

A quiet beach away from the hustle and bustle of the marina. It is a very nice location with a decent beach area and a lot of picnic space nearby.

Being an immigrant, one thing to keep in mind is the huge amout of people reinforcing the immigrant and refugee stereotypes. There were kids who were literally littering the beach area with soda cans and trash, and when confronted, they lied saying its not theirs.

Not sure what can be done in these situations, but you got to really fight your internal samaritan to ignore such folks and take...

Nice park for a evening walking stroll. Ample parking space. Lots of people usually comes up in the afternoons for walking. The view of the lake from here is also amazing. Bike paths are here too. Linked with another bike trail. Pets are also allowed there for leash free walking in designated spots. Small portions of here are a bit sandy, hence the naming i assume. People usually go for a small swimming session here as well. Few benches are at the shore for sitting.
