What a wonderful experience. The owner was very laid back and kind. He will take a canoe or kayak right to lions head beach for you and come retrieve it after you use it. We had no time limit after we paid. We rented a canoe as we had pur daughter and took our first great lake (it's georgian bay, I know but it might as well be :) ) paddle along the cliffs below lions head. It was beautiful, felt exclusive, and so much fun. Just note if you are looking for his facility you'll see a lot of kayaks and canoes sitting outside a small cafe across from Foodland. Refused to talk to us mentioning he was too busy and to just send an email. There is no data coverage at Lion's head. Got back to our email the next day saying he was too busy but he can arrange something the next day ( 48 hours later ) The business is run from someone's backyard and there's only a small sign mentioning canoe rentals. Everything is just laying on the grass.
I would try Sauble falls if in a bind or just not Canoe if this was my...
