A true Kootenay icon. Remarkable, but not in a "look at me" sort of way. Inexplicably two-toned orange, the struts and girders are beloved by all down to the pigeons below. BOB, you embrace our Kootenay Lake, like a great friend, kissing the tree-swaying slopes from shore to shore. BOB fulfills all bridge functions excellently.

The Big Orange Bridge is the first notable landmark you'll see when coming into Nelson from either the north or the south. Most pictures you see are taken from the south, so I thought I'd give you a different perspective, taken from the RCMP grounds on the southeast side of the bridge. Enjoy.

A fantastic sight walking over this bridge early in the morning. If you look you will be lucky to see so many fishes , ospreys and other wildlife. It also give you a good view of the downtown from here
