Rose Garden Cafe — Restaurant in Nelson

It's more of a cantina then cafe.

The good. I've always Really liked having dinner in the park, it's so relaxing and peaceful some how. The food can range from good to quite good food for a cantina. I love it's location. I love the playground right by it. I love that they have tables or you can eat in the park at tables or on blankets. It's fantastic for families. Bathrooms are easy and reasonably clean.

The bad This summer it seamed to suffer from issue after issue. I went many times and sometimes they were out of the item I wanted or the priece of equipment they needed to cook it wasn't working or the kitchen staff were on break. It seamed to be poorly run this summer.

They have delicious food here and they make their own fries. They also have ice cream. And if you're vegan, that's not a problem here. It's so nice to go to Lakeside Park to enjoy community events or just a nice stroll to enjoy the views, as well as have options to enjoy the beach or rent a kayak for a very small fee, and have access to good food when you get hungry, or just want a snack. They have lovely tables with umbrellas for shade from the sun for outdoor dining, with views of pretty flowers and...

The food was definitely good, of the highest food quality I would say. Would I eat there again? Not sure as I didn’t actually eat there, yet! But I will be soon. Why? Because me and my kids are hungry. Why not? Amirite? UPDATE: we indeed did eat here and I stand by my review. They even gave me a silver platter to take my food out to the beach for my family.
