I rate the Parlee Beach a 5 star review. I rate the beaches management a 1 star. Average equals 3 stars at no fault to the beach. We were told that there is a dog park area but all we saw were "no dogs" signage. Wife saw in the website that there are dogs allowed to the right of the Boardwalk. Looking out, past the "no dogs" signage, we saw other people with dogs. We joined the group. While making our way to the beach, a worker was changing the sign to read that the water was unsafe. Come noon, we go down to where food is served and there is actually a sign stating that dogs are allowed. Signage on their food vending area lets us know it is not open until 3pm.😢 Parking was confusing. Two lanes in but only one lane is for paying customers while the other is for ticket holders, we presumed. Signage would help. Once on the beach, we enjoyed seeing how populated it was and how far out people could go before the water seemed to get deep. Loved the beach but not the way it is being run. More sunny days ahead we hope. Addendum: Have since been to this park without our dogs in tow. Wife and I went to meet family visiting from Ontario. They have 3 young children who loved the parks many features. The 2 young boys loved searching the beach and finding many hermit crabs and snails. Young girl loved the playground area most. Eventually we all joined together on the beach. Was extremely winding this day and both my wife and I appreciated having worn our sunglasses to help keep the sand out of our eyes. Re-rating this place based on our latest experience. The addition of sand carpeting allowing access via any type of wheeled vehicle. We could see this being enhanced upon to allow wheel chair access for any person along the beach area.

I've been to plenty of provincial parks but never, until now, have I been to one that operates more like a private park. If you're looking for privacy you won't find it here. Large Trailers & Campers park side by side. Tent camping is a bit better but everything is pretty much open space with a few trees here and there. Want a hot shower 🚿 it'll cost you a dollar for 5 minutes. That's what the sign says but 2 coins later it was still cold. The staff however are great, even got my 2 dollars back. The park and facilities were clean with plenty of garbage cans placed throughout the park. As for the beach, you have to drive to it, or expect a long walk.

Front desk demanded a $10 cash deposit for the magnetic entrance card (even though our stay was prepaid) but there is no Interac machine onsite, luckily my Pa had an extra $10 he was willing to spot me.

Rowdy hooligans in an RV next to our campsite were blasting loud corny 80s metal until around 3 AM and had a fire (even though there was a provincial fire ban in effect), I had to go over and argue with them to chill out since this campground doesn't appear to have security after dark.

FYI it doesn't actually get dark in the campground as there are blistering bright road lampposts every second campsite or so. I didn't need a flashlight inside my tent as it was nearly bright as day.

Almost forgot to mention that I warned one of the Park Employees that my fire pit was underneath a giant tree and he told me "Don't tell me how to do my job!" And then I said "Just thought you should know since this could be a fire hazard, have a nice evening... " and he turned his head and drove away in his little golf cart vehicle without replying. Quite rude!

Wi-Fi was not functional, the campsites are nearly on top of each other, a few sad trees here and there but many sites were just in a flat open grassy plain.

I would recommend looking for another place to camp unless you like partying till 3 AM with Budweiser-swilling...

This place is on a paid access, but sometimes the entrance can be free. Lots of parking space, but some are a bit far so it can be a long way to walk for some. Active lifeguards are always on the lookout for dangers. Many families of varying ages go there on vacation.

Great landscaping before the beach, which has soft sand and is quite long. Changing rooms and toilets can be found next to the parking spaces. The middle of the beach is always a bit crowded - and noisy -, but the outskirts still have lots of space. There are no pre-installed beach umbrellas or beach chairs. The beach itself is well maintained and has almost no debris, trash cans can be found across the beach.

It was quite windy as the beach (at least when I was there), but the water was rather calm and at a pleasant medium temperature.

There is lots of space to swim in the water, and the depth varies a lot - from shallow to deep, to small islands of sand popping here and there across the beach. The swimming space is marked, and beyond the markings some small boats often pass by. Some fish or lobsters can sometimes be found in the water.

Overall, it's a nice place. Would go again, but with a strong umbrella as mine did not hold up against...
