Went to check out the stars and wow, does it get dark or what?? At one point I was scared to get outta my car for fear of what was out there in the pitch black. Stars were in full display and it was relatively early still, 9:30pm-10pm. There are two areas to park, a small one at the entrance and a huge one around the bend beside the boat launch area. Was my first time here so I was unsure of the best place to view the stars so I decided to pack it up for the night and check it out in the daytime. Amazing view across the water to our U.S neighbors and the snow topped mountains. A bit cold today but can imagine a summer or spring day here. Definitely coming back for the stars but also some picture taking during the day.

Cattle Point is a must see! There is a protected garden with some rare native plants that are trying to survive, so please stay on the paths. A little beach to explore when the tide is out, rocks to climb, birds to watch, sailboats, yachts, kayaks, canoes, cargo ships, and fishing boats. There is a boat ramp, plenty of parking, picnic tables, benches, but no washrooms. A place to reflect with gratitude the beauty we see everywhere ✨️!

Excellent beach area with a spectacular mountain view , it's good for cycling boating picnic including dog friendly side. I heard about castle point It's really marvelous in night time for astrophotography. But unfortunately I miss that. It's a clyster clear sky view with beauty of ocean wave. The bike parking corner are less and the rest Room are it's quite far away , however it's best location for enjoy with family.

Cattle Point is a breathtaking waterfront spot in Oak Bay that offers stunning ocean views and a peaceful, natural setting. This is an absolute must-visit if you're a fan of scenic vistas and wildlife watching.

The wildlife at Cattle Point is a diverse and fascinating sight. From eagles soaring overhead to seabirds like cormorants and gulls, and if you're lucky, seals bobbing in the water, the variety is sure to captivate you. The tide pools are teeming with marine life like starfish, sea anemones, and crabs, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and families seeking a hands-on learning experience.

A few benches are scattered around the area, ideally placed to enjoy the sweeping views of the Salish Sea and the Olympic Mountains in the distance. There's no water fountain, but the shoreline's natural beauty more than compensates. The sound of waves gently lapping against the shore and the fresh sea breeze create a relaxing atmosphere that invites you to stay a while.

Convenience is key at Cattle Point, with a free parking lot located right by the entrance to the point, ensuring easy access even during peak hours. As it's a popular spot for sunsets, arriving early during the golden hour is advisable to secure a spot.

Open year-round, Cattle Point is a beautiful place to unwind, explore tidal pools, or sit and soak in the beauty of nature. It is a true...
