This is "SOUTH SHELL PARK BEACH", that's the name of this beach for decades and not sure how and when it got changed. Have been using this beach since last 22 years, it used to be full of shells and beach full of crushed sandy shells, thus the name South Shell Park Beach, however the beach is more sandy now which is good to walk over, and may see snail and clam shells here and there. It gets crowdy fast, and parking very very limited. Park on one of the side streets across lakeshore road west and walking to the beach is the best option or park at Shell Park north of Lakeshore, which its about 10 mins walk. Read moreThis place is a hidden jam in the middle of the city. There are places like Coronation and Jack darling not far so this has been fortunately preserved with less crowd. Still gets very busy on the weekend. Parking is a concern as hardly 25 spots are there. It's a small private kind of a beach with much better water quality than other beaches in the area.
