It's a beautiful area to spend a day. It's always busy. Absolute gem! Almost has a vacation vibe with beaches, marina, lighthouses, beach houses, waterfront park. Really enjoyed the fresh air, lakeviews, pathways and water quality is good as well. The area is well clean and well kept. It's a fantastic way to connect with nature and boost your mood. You can see the pickering nuclear power plant close by as you walk along the shore. There are lot of boats around here. Also there is a broadwalk area to visit. Few stores along the drive up. Also there are few restaurants by the lake. For those interested in capturing pictures you can get the awesome scenic sunrise and sunset with a view of a lake. For those coming from the Go station it’s a beautiful 20 minutes walking by lovely houses. If you’re driving, there’s a free parking lot on the left side (close to the beach). The beach has excellent facilities such as washrooms and picnic area. It’s an unsupervised swimming area, be careful and you will enjoy a...

To the east, some of the boardwalk was damaged by the high rate this year ( 2019) but they have cleaned the sand of the boardwalk so you can ride your bike now - is still bumpy so slow down.
They have bathrooms and a drinking fountain. They also have a small splash pad for young kids.
