Sasamet Lake, located in Port Moody, is a hidden gem known for its warm waters and lovely beach. While it offers a wonderful escape for beach lovers, it's important to note that the lake can become extremely busy on weekends. With a pay parking system in place, as well as occasional gate closures when the parking area is full, Sasamet Lake requires some strategic planning to fully enjoy its natural beauty.

One of the standout features of Sasamet Lake is its warm water, making it a standout destination in the area. The pleasant temperature adds to the overall allure, inviting visitors to swim and indulge in various water activities. For those seeking a beach experience with a comfortable water temperature, Sasamet Lake is hard to beat.

The beach at Sasamet Lake is undeniably lovely, boasting a picturesque setting surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes. The sandy shores and crystal-clear waters contribute to a serene and idyllic atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and leisurely beach activities.

However, it's important to be aware that Sasamet Lake can become overwhelmingly crowded on weekends. The lake's popularity attracts a large number of visitors, leading to limited parking availability. To manage the influx of cars during peak times, a pay parking system has been implemented. It is advisable to arrive early or consider visiting on weekdays to secure a parking spot and avoid disappointment.

In the event that the parking area reaches full capacity, the gate to Sasamet Lake is closed to ensure the safety and enjoyment of those already inside. While this may be disappointing for latecomers, it is a necessary measure to maintain a comfortable experience for visitors. In such cases, the only means of access is through Translink buses, which provide an alternative transportation option to reach the lake. This arrangement ensures that even when the parking area is full, visitors still have an opportunity to experience the beauty of Sasamet Lake.

Despite the challenges posed by parking and potential gate closures, Sasamet Lake remains a worthwhile destination for beach enthusiasts. Its warm waters, picturesque beach, and stunning surroundings create an inviting and memorable experience. By planning your visit strategically, such as arriving early or exploring on weekdays, you can fully enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty of this remarkable oasis without being overwhelmed by the crowds.

In conclusion, Sasamet Lake in Port Moody offers a warm and inviting escape for those seeking a beach experience. With its warm waters and lovely beach, it is a preferred destination for many. 🌲🏞️ A Tranquil Oasis Amidst Nature's Embrace 🌄🌊 I've stumbled upon a hidden gem that feels like a scene plucked straight from a fairytale – a serene lake nestled snugly in the heart of an ancient forest, cradled by majestic mountains. 🌳🏔️ The moment you arrive at this idyllic spot, a sense of calm envelopes you like a warm embrace. The air is filled with the sweet scent of pine, and the only sounds are the gentle rustle of leaves and the soft murmur of the water. It's a symphony of serenity that soothes the soul. 🌿🌊 As you approach the pristine lake, its waters mirror the surrounding trees and peaks, creating a mesmerizing reflection that blurs the line between reality and dream. You can't help but be captivated by the stillness of the moment. 🏞️✨ This peaceful haven is a reminder of the sheer power of nature to heal and rejuvenate. It's a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the world, to reconnect with oneself, and to be present in the beauty of the here and now. 🙏❤️ If you ever yearn for a tranquil retreat into the heart of nature, seek out this lake in the forest and mountains. Quite a wonderful place to spend a day in. There are a lot of spots around the lake where you could set up for a picnic so you don't have to confine yourself in the beaches of you find them too crowded. It's the only lake in BC where the water is, not warm, but not too cold so swimming is possible without acquiring a migraine after. The loop trail is varied enough to keep it interesting, about 3.5KM. Not stroller friendly though. Like a lot of nature spots, it could do with a lot less people who go there to blast their music and leave trash all over the place, otherwise the park rangers do a great job maintaining order. I've witnessed them giving out warnings to people who were smoking in non-smoking areas, in the middle of summer with the danger of forest fires. There's pay parking but we find it worth paying for all-day parking just because of the first reason I mentioned above. We've brought our baby here almost every week ever since the start of summer 2021. 10 out of 10...
