White Pine Beach is honestly one of the best spots for a fun family day! The beach has super soft sand, clean water, and a really nice vibe that makes it perfect for kids to splash around safely. The lake is calm and warm in the summer, so whether you’re swimming, paddleboarding, or just floating on an inflatable, it’s such a relaxing place to be.

What I love is that there’s something for everyone — little ones can play by the shore, while older kids and adults can enjoy swimming out further or exploring the trails around the lake. It’s also a great picnic spot! There are tables and grassy areas where you can set up, and it feels so nice to enjoy lunch with the beautiful forest and lake views all around you.

The only tricky part is parking. On hot, sunny days, the lot fills up really early, and if you come late, you’ll likely end up circling for a while or parking farther away and walking in. It’s worth planning ahead and coming early with your cooler and beach gear.

Overall though, White Pine Beach is such an amazing place for family fun and relaxing outdoors. Definitely one of those spots you’ll want to come back to...

Its a great lake especially for kids but their limiting systems makes no sense.

They stop cars from parking in the lot once they are full at 8:30-10am on sunny days but as cars leave they still do not backfill. Additionally its paid parking now and road parking nearby is no longer allowed.

I get that locals want to have access through the roads but why are they not filling the parking lot when its not actually full? Its causing more cars to be in the way of locals.

instead they have 2 attendants turning people away and 2 police officers telling everyone to not create a line waiting for the gate to open, all while a bunch of cars spend gas idling or going in circles waiting for the gate to open.

Theres so many solutions to this that could probably save the city time and money. Additionally covid is not over but the restrictions have been lifted. Hopefully they start with just a simple dedicated social media account announcing when its full and open so people can...

This particular location is a true gem, nestled along the coast and boasting one of the most stunning and well-maintained beaches you'll ever come across. Not only is the sand pristine and inviting, but the gentle slope of the beach makes it perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and other water activities during the summer months.

In addition to the beach itself, the area offers plenty of convenient amenities such as ample parking and easy access, making it a great destination for visitors of all ages. The walking path that winds along the coastline is an added bonus, providing breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding landscape.

Whether you're looking for a day trip with the family, a romantic getaway with a loved one, or simply a peaceful place to unwind and soak up the sun, this location is definitely...

One of the best spots for a peaceful day by the water! White Pine Beach is a hidden gem just a short drive from the city. I visited recently and had an amazing time. The beach is super clean, the water is calm and refreshing — perfect for a summer swim. It has that peaceful, nature-filled vibe, surrounded by trees and soft sand, making it great for relaxing or even a quiet picnic. There are plenty of shaded areas, benches, and clean washrooms, which made the experience really comfortable. It wasn’t too crowded when I went, and the views of the lake were just beautiful. If you’re looking for a chill spot to escape the noise and enjoy nature, this place is totally worth it. Highly recommend bringing a mat, some snacks, and enjoying a slow day here. I’ll definitely be going back soon!
