Lake Wilcox Waterfront Park Review

Lake Wilcox Waterfront Park is an excellent spot for weekend outings. The park features beautiful walking paths and scenic views, making it a great place for leisurely strolls or more vigorous exercise. The kids' playground is well-designed, providing a safe and fun environment for children to play.

There are ample picnic areas, perfect for family gatherings or a relaxed meal outdoors. Additionally, the lake itself offers opportunities for swimming and kayaking, adding an extra layer of enjoyment for water enthusiasts.

However, it's worth noting that the park tends to be quite busy on warm weekends, so plan accordingly. Despite the crowds, the park's amenities and natural beauty make it a highly recommended...

Visited Lake Wilcox Park recently and had a really enjoyable time. The park is clean, well-maintained, and offers something for everyone. The kids loved the splash pad—it’s a great feature, especially on a hot day. There’s also a large playground, a boardwalk along the lake, and plenty of green space for picnics.

We went in the afternoon and found it a bit hard to get parking nearby, but we eventually parked at the community centre and walked over, which wasn’t too far. The lakeside views are beautiful, and there’s a nice mix of shady and sunny areas for relaxing. Washrooms were available and clean.

Overall, a great local spot for families, couples, or anyone looking to enjoy some outdoor time by the water. Just go early if you want a good...

I am really angry. I have been living in Richmond Hill for 3 years. I have been to this park 3 times and 3 ticket.WHY WHY WHY. I am working and busy. I have very little time to coming park. I wanted to spend time with my family and children in the park. I get tickets every time. It is a very annoying park. I have a company and employees. I pay taxes. Why do I pay for the park in my neighborhood and spend time with my family and get fined? I pay taxes because these parks are built with our money so that I can have a good social life and spend time in the park. There is a lot to say. Richmond Hill Municipality, please please...

The Lake Wilcox water splash pad is really nice option for kids during the summer months. It's located on the waterfront and is besides a very nice playground area. Recently, we visited and since it's already in the fall season, the water park is no longer in operation for the rest of the year. Parking was still available and there is a parking fee that's in effect from April 1st to Sept 30th. Depending where you park, I noticed the price is different. At the community center, parking cost $4 per hour, while it costs $5 per hour at the splash pad / playground lot.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lake Wilcox Water Park is an absolute gem! The park is clean, well-maintained, and offers a variety of fun water features for kids of all ages. The splash pads and water jets provide endless entertainment, and there's plenty of shaded areas for parents to relax and watch their children play. The surrounding area is beautiful, with scenic views of the lake and plenty of green space for picnics. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Highly recommend for a family day out!

You can enjoy the gorgeous view of the lake from this location. There are lots of benches available to sit down and enjoy the view and nice weather. You also can run/walk and stretch your legs. Limited parking spots are available, so if you arrive later in the day, you may be out of luck finding a spot. Kids can also enjoy splash pads during summertime. There's also a canoe club at the end of the paved sidewalk and you can enjoy getting on a canoe or boat and add to your fun.
