To anyone who has read the 1 star review written by Gabby Girl I need to warn you that this person is lying. She claims the employee behind the counter said that the park was for scooters only and that's a lie. As someone who has been skateboarding there every week for the past 10 years I know that the skatepark's insurance policy only covers skateboards and roller blades , no scooter has ever been allowed on the park since the day it opened. She also said that the boards behind the counter are for groups only, thats a lie. The boards behind the counter are rentals handed out for free, to any kid in the 11 year old and under group that don't own a skateboard. She claims that there were scooters behind the counter and she offered money to rent one, now thats her boldest lie yet. She wasn't able to rent a scooter because there are no scooters behind the counter and there never has been, why would a facility offer to rent something that is banned from their grounds.
To sum up, I wouldnt be surprised if this individual has never visited this facility, she claims that only scooters are allowed and skateboards are banned when in reality the opposite is true (Skateboards and rollerblades are allowed but scooters and bikes are banned). If she did visit this facility, she didn't make any effort to know the rules in advance and completely lied about her experience. Her review wasn't written with the intent of accurately representing the situation. She wrote it hoping to negatively impact the facility out of spite because she planned a day trip and didn't do her homework first. This is a perfect example of how some individuals choose to lie and blame others instead of taking responsibility for their actions. Its ok to mess up, just get back up, assess what you did wrong so you succeed next time. Coincidentally, skateboarding is a perfect activity to learn how to...
Read moreOur family had horrible experience here. Took my two sons all the way for PEI just to check this place out. One child uses a scooter and one uses a skateboard. I see in the photos that there are people using skateboards but when we get there the lady behind the counter says it is for kids using scooters only!!! There is nobody using the park but she said my younger son could absolutely not get on with his skateboard. I see lots of skateboards behind counter but she says they are for groups only?? By the way she doesn't volunteer this information she just says no and ignores us mostly. The youngest is upset but agrees he will scooter instead but we only have one scooter. There are a bunch behind counter so i ask if we could rent one or pay a security on one but she again says no and will not budge. I can understand if park is for scooters only but why have website showing kids on skateboard or have skateboard groups?? The lady was so rude in every way. I get it she has to follow rules but she could be...
