Can't argue with the $10 admission fee, but this is still a disappointing experience. Things that pop to mind: Some displays are completely missing. One has a note saying it was borrowed by someone for study....over 10 years ago. It has been 10+ years. Get it back, or at the very least, switch out the display. There seems to be a Fundy tides display right at the front. Seemed to be completely inoperable when we were there (mid-Feb 2019). Fix it, turn it on, or get rid of it. A lot of the signage is dated and seems to be peeling around the corners. Some of the signs don't even tell you what the sign is for; the first floor signage is a "read and try to find the item they're talking about". It should be set up more like the bird section where everything has a number to reference on the sign. A good 15% of the place was blocked off or shut down due to building issues or a "work in progress". Several displays had tarps over them and buckets everywhere due to what I assume was a leaking roof. Some skeletons on the ceiling aren't even referenced anywhere (what am I looking at?).

All in all, hugely disappointing - especially the natural history floor.

All of this could likely be rectified with a new facility; it really needs to be updated in a hurry. But I guess the current state of it is good enough for the provincial Con. government since they decided to pull the promised money towards creating new facilities. I mean...who needs science and history anyways? I don't know if I despise the current government more for this, or the past governments for not addressing the issue earlier as this place has obviously been falling apart...

The New Brunswick Musiem is beautiful and such a great place to bring the whole family and has a lot of research and time put into their facility. This has to be on of the most beautiful places in Brunswick square. I was only in there one time. I believe that it is 10 dollars to enter and they may have family specials but I'm not sure. All I can say is wow! This place with all their collection of history and monuments; I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to get a great day and see things that you may never get to see. It's a great place to bring the whole family and kids as well as a nice relaxing daytime outing to bring a significant other. Very...

Can't wait until the 3rd floor is finished. However, just because much is covered over with tarp of the 1st floor and the 3rd floor is closed for renovations, doesn't mean you shouldn't go. My brother and I had a great hour here all the same. The staff member was very nice and informed us before we paid about all the renovations. Also, the price was reduced from $8/adult to $6, so that was nice. Still a lot to see, in a very picturesque area, and...

I was expecting more but it was decent. They gave me half off because a lot of exhibits were closed and there were signs everywhere saying sections were closed due to building issues and the province and landlord were working on them. Layout is a little confusing, but there are some cool exhibits on ship building and whales. Come prepared to read because most information is printed on 8.5x11 paper with 12pt font.

This extensive collection of NB artifacts is Canada's oldest continuing museum, with roots back to 1842! It is currently closed and in transition while a new building is designed, which will nestle around the original, grand 1934 building on Douglas Avenue. The new NB Museum is destined to become one of the best attractions in the Province of NB!
