Harbourvue Horizon — Restaurant in Saint John

Went for my birthday with 7 friends. After being served, the dining room went silent. The waitress attending our table would serve everyone in the room, walk to the back, and then to the bar to hide behind two patrons. We were more than willing to give her a big fat tip, except we had been there for around an hour before we had to send someone to the bar to get our desert menu. Time passed... and passed. The same thing happened as the waitress tended to all patrons except us.

Finally, I got up, put my coat on, and went to the door. "Not staying for desert?" she said. "No," I responded. There was no option to not give her a tip as my friends mentioned, however I still tipped 15%. Perhaps, this all has been a misunderstanding. I would hope anyway.

I forgot to mention however, that my friend received his steak well done when he asked for medium rare. When a second steak was brought out, it was COMPLETELY RAW. My breakfast however was fine, as it had been the previous time I went here for supper.

I've worked plenty on retail and restaurant jobs.. so if the waitress was nervous... she could have just said something. Not OBVIOUSLY walking around the room and back to hiding behind the two bar patrons who were RIGHT BESIDE our table.

Went there for dinner and breakfast the next day, and never again. You could tell they were trying to cut costs and increase income as a result. No free refills for fountain soda (which was watered down as is).. many messages on menu and surrounding places in restaurant stating prices don't include tax or gratuity (the ways it was stated and number of times made me feel pressured to tip). Washroom needed to be cleaned. Overall, I'm pretty unsatisfied...

Food here is so good it's unbelievable it's very well-prepared can't complain whatsoever the staff are very friendly it's such a great environment to come to to dying I can't wait to come back here and eat again the fries are awesome. the facilities extremely clean the bathrooms are clean the tables are clean everything about this place is just great really can't wait to come back and dying here again soon me and my colleagues had such a great time when we came here a few weeks ago thanks so much for everything guys will be coming back...
