SaskTel Centre — Attraction in Saskatoon

I JUST TOOK MY BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER TO GO SEE SHAUN MENDES IN CONCERT , WITH ARIANA CARA OPENED THE CONCERT FOR HIM ! THE STAFF WERE A GREAT HELP TO US IN HELPING US TO FIND OUR SEATS ! THE VENDORS WERE EASY GOING , BUT SINCE WHEN WAS THE PRICE OF DRINKS RAISED TO $8:50 FOR A BEER & $7:50 FOR HARD LIQUOR ?? THAT'S WAY MORE EXPENSIVE THAN ANY OTHER BAR ESTABLISHMENT OR LOUNGE IN THE CITY ! I KNOW THAT YOU NEED TO MAKE YOUR MONEY TO COVER THE EXPENSES YOU HAVE , BUT YOU'RE GONNA FORCE ALL THE SOCIAL DRINKERS AT THE EVENTS TO STOP BUYING DRINKS CAUSE THEY CAN PURCHASE DRINKS PRACTICALLY ANYWHERE ELSE BESIDES AT THE SASKTEL CENTER !! YOU TOOK AWAY OR YOU ACTUALLY TOTALLY BANNED SMOKING EVERYWHERE & ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY , WHICH ALREADY CAUSED QUITE A FEW POTENTIAL CLIENT'S TO STOP GOING TO THE EVENTS THAT THEY USED TO LOVE ATTENDING BECAUSE OF THE NO SMOKING BAN ! NOW YOUR MONKEYING AROUND WITH THE 2ND FAVORITE PASTIME OF THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY ! NOT A GREAT WAY TO TRY & ATTRACT PEOPLE TO GO TO THE EVENTS THAT YOU HAVE GOING ON IN THE 2019 YEAR ! BESIDES ALL OF THAT STUFF HAPPENING , MY DAUGHTER & I HAD A GREAT TIME AT THE CONCERT !! EVERYONE AROUND US AS FAR AS WE COULD SEE IN EVERY DIRECTION THAT WE LOOKED , PEOPLE OF ALL AGES WERE STANDING & SINGING ALONG WITH THE ARTISTS & THE REST OF EVERYONE ELSE IN THE CONCERT TOO ! THEY WERE DANCING IN THE ROWS , ON THE STAIRCASES , THE STAIRWELLS , AND ON EVERY LEVEL OF FLOORS TOO , EVERYONE WAS CLAPPING , PLUS A LOT OF THE GIRL'S WERE SCREAMING & CHEERING , BUT I'M PRETTY SURE THAT EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED THE CONCERT , WERE HAVING THE TIME OF THEY'RE LIVES ! JUST AS MUCH AS WE DID TOO !! ALL IN ALL , IT TURNED OUT TO BE A GREAT MEMORIAL 17th BIRTHDAY PRESENT EXPERIENCE FOR MY BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER , BUT OVERALL IT LOOKS LIKE EVERYTHING IS RUNNING LIKE A WELL OILED MACHINE , WITH GREAT RESPECTABLE EMPLOYEES AT EVERY TURN TO HELP YOU OUT WITH FINDING YOUR SEATS OR THE SECTION YOUR LOOKING FOR , PLUS HELP WITH ALL YOUR OTHER PROBLEMS NO MATTER HOW BIG OR SMALL THEY MAY BE , BUT ONCE AGAIN , BESIDES THE CHANGING OF THE DRINK PRICES & THE ATM MACHINES KEEP ON RUNNING OUT OF MONEY , WE HAD A GREAT TIME AT THE CONCERT ! WOULD I RECOMMEND THE SASKTEL CENTER TO ANYONE ELSE ? WELL I'M ALL FOR GOING TO WHATEVER EVENTS THAT THE CENTER IS POSSIBLY PUTTING ON , OR MAYBE THEY'RE PRESENTING FOR THE DAY , EVENING OR WEEKEND !! YEAH , YOU BET I'D RECOMMEND THE SASKTEL CENTER TO OTHER POTENTIAL CLIENT'S AS WELL AS ANYONE ELSE THAT WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO OR...

My wife and I went to Metallica this past week . The show was great but the venue wasn't . To start that they only had two security personnel for a big crowd and we were being searched outside. Once in the venue, it was so small that it was nearly impossible to properly walk down the hallways with out being squished , pushed , or hit. The liquor line ups where to long that it took us about 30 min to get beers ( no keg , no tab.. was done by hand opening every bottle and poring it to a cup) One lady told me she was in like for 45 minutes at the merchandise stands and washrooms well one guy pissed his pants because he waited for so long . I mean one urinal and one stall washroom is not appropriate to have . Well we finally get to our seats which wasn't well labeled but by now we're just happy we got to sit down and the show started. Metallica was phenomenal but by now we got thirsty and needed more beers . Went down, waited another 20 min just to find out that the beers stand will close at 9:30 pm! Like the show started at 8:40, there was monitors around the area but instead of showing the concerts , MLB was on lol ... anyway that's great , went back up to our seats and it was scorching hot ! It got so hot up there that the pipes above us started to sweat and drip on us . Yep disgusting. The concert ended and there was absolutely no cabs , the " taxi line " wasn't there , only party busses and limos. Anyway 2 hours after made it to the hotel. Some of the parking was free , good big lot .. if I knew beers would stop at 9:30 I would've driven aswell.

Don't think I'll be coming back ,...

I've been to many events in this building since it was built from car shows to basket ball to hockey curling dinosaurs trade shows and for the past two years as a season ticket holder for The Sask. Rush Games - - - best thing that ever happened fort this building with the tremendous fan support. Our tickets are in the lower bowl " F " section just left of centre - - - the only problem is paying a premium price for the Basic Minimum Spec. Size arena seats in this area - - to narrow and knees jammed up on the seat in front of you. And if you are unfortunate to have an oversized 300 pound person sitting beside you (God help you if there's one on both sides) or a guy that airs his balls out all game by spreading his legs so he's infringing on your seat zone, its not great - - - as a matter of fact it sucks. Forget spending a P Pot full of money down town (here we go again new arena convention centre plan talks) - - - there's not enough room for parking - unless it ends up with a cavernous under ground parking lot.

Put better seats in the lower bowl premium seating area (wider for sure) and charge a bit more (notice I said A Bit more), The extra cost would make up for the loss of seats due to putting in better seats.

Three cheers for the parking lot staff at the Rush games - - - pretty darn good since it's been massaged somewhat into a workable plan. I'd not want that job in the winter and feel sorry for you people having to put up with some of the A - Holes that come to games and figure its...
