Parc Lucien-Blanchard — Attraction in Sherbrooke

Lot's of fun with the beach and water house. You can buy there cold treats. There are beach volleyball spots, an outdoor gym and two kids playgrounds.

I wanted to give it 2-3 star initially because it is a lot fractured, you never know how it's going to change, it gets flooded from time to time, it's underdeveloped, not enough funds are given to I guess simply maintain the place... it's Sherbrooke only beach and it could be so much more... it was better in the past. People at the head need to step it up, we need to have a clear idea of what offered, you need activities that you promote and lucky you it's directly connected to Jacques Cartier park...use it to your advantage (seize your...

This is one of our go to parks. Very accessible and near where we live. Has a huge parking space and huge land area for picnics, birthdays, sports and a lot more. Playgrounds have a variety of activities for kids. There are tables and benches as well. Have access to water activities with a fee. Near public transportation too. Bike paths and a station for tools or if you just need some extra air for your bicycle tires. I think there’s also an event place here as I attended one in the past held inside one of the houses/buildings.

The park is an amazing place to destress and spend time with family and friends...

Merveilleux endroit. Je connais ce parc depuis sa création. J'étais alors administrateur à la corporation CHARMES (Comité d'hygiene et d'aménagement des rivières Magog et St-Francois. Plusieurs des pistes cyclables débutaient dans ce parc. Elles étaient alors toutes en terre.

Depuis, plusieurs de ces pistes ont été doublées par de véritables routes en asphalte. Idéales pour les cyclistes.

Lors des journées ensoleillées, on y retrouve des familles entières et des personnes en fauteuil. Pour ma part, l'été il m'arrive souvent de stationner mon auto au parc Blanchard et de me rendre au Gym ou au centre ville par les pistes. Fantastique pour prendre du soleil. Et pour faire des rencontres.

Le parc lui-même est fantastique pour les familles. Ballon volant, plage, pic nique, rencontre. Les fin de semaine, on peut y louer des kayak, des pédalos et des canots.

N'oublions pas la Maison de l'eau. Véritables lieu de vulgarisation sur les oiseaux et les animaux...
