We just loved this park initially and came back to enjoy it (and it's tide pools) a second time. We have two kids, 4 and 6, and we were down looking at sea stars and urchins about 7 feet away from the edge of the water. A ferry came past and we waved. A few minutes later a huge wave came up and had me soaked up to my chest. I am so thankful my daughters were smart enough to run up the slop, but this wave could've easily swept a young child away. It was terrifying! And an excellent reminder to me about the power of water. I am surprised there are no signs up to warn people from going to near the water. Especially with young children and dogs.
