I apologize for not having any photos of the "Titan" mining truck as I'm sure if you "Google Search" it you will be able to see lots of literature on it and the area it is located. I live in Southern Alberta and went for a day drive picking up a close friend in the Fort Macleod area and headed West to Fernie for some time to get out and air our jackets a bit.... On the road back I asked my friend about stopping into Sparwood and seeing the truck as its one of a kind! And has a little Park around it with an information tourist centre on site hey and if your hungry for a good old burger there is a A&W plus if you'd rather have a sub..... Subway is right adjacent to it. (Not trying to put a plug in there for those business's!!) Lol You'll enjoy your visit and get that nice stretch you wanted off the road. Oh one more thing that there is ample parking around in the Mall and around the area if you have a motorhome, trailer or vehicle. ...

Besides mining, this rugged mountainous area is known for its snowmobiling, quadding and camping opportunities. We were headed up higher the windy but well maintained road to nearby Elkford where there is a...

Not knowing any history of the area or the truck but then a guy named Shane said that it was actually a working truck and used in the pot mine behind the truck itself. He had actually driven one just like it in the Sparwood pit mine. He was stopping by just to take a look as he had moved many years but dropped his son off to work at the put mone that day. He shared so much history with us. It was an incredible experience to meet him and share the great story...
