I apologize for not having any photos of the "Titan" mining truck as I'm sure if you "Google Search" it you will be able to see lots of literature on it and the area it is located. I live in Southern Alberta and went for a day drive picking up a close friend in the Fort Macleod area and headed West to Fernie for some time to get out and air our jackets a bit.... On the road back I asked my friend about stopping into Sparwood and seeing the truck as its one of a kind! And has a little Park around it with an information tourist centre on site hey and if your hungry for a good old burger there is a A&W plus if you'd rather have a sub..... Subway is right adjacent to it. (Not trying to put a plug in there for those business's!!) Lol You'll enjoy your visit and get that nice stretch you wanted off the road. Oh one more thing that there is ample parking around in the Mall and around the area if you have a motorhome, trailer or vehicle. ...

It's been a long time since this was the actual World's Largest Truck, but it's as close as most of us mere mortals will ever get. It's easy to pull in to see, being just off of the junction of highway 3 and 43, right close to the BC/Alberta border in southern British Columbia. There's plenty of parking, and even a Visitor Information Centre (which is closed evenings, weekend and holidays. :-/ ) There is Subway sandwich shop and A&W right there, and a shopping complex across the street if you need anything. Besides mining, this rugged mountainous area is known for its snowmobiling, quadding and camping opportunities. We were headed up higher the windy but well maintained road to nearby Elkford where there is a...

We saw it just off of the road and had to stop. It's really big. We were driving through Sparwood to get to Fernie BC really early in the morning. We were talking about if it really worked and was actually used. Not knowing any history of the area or the truck but then a guy named Shane said that it was actually a working truck and used in the pot mine behind the truck itself. He had actually driven one just like it in the Sparwood pit mine. He was stopping by just to take a look as he had moved many years but dropped his son off to work at the put mone that day. He shared so much history with us. It was an incredible experience to meet him and share the great story...

Speaking of trucks. This is the largest truck in the world and it is sitting to view here in Sparwood BC. My son loves trucks so much. we visit this place and takes a lot of pictures with the truck. The truck is enormous, it so big . I can even walk through under the truck without bending or kneeling. The tires is massive, I can't even reached the top of the wheel. I am surprised and my son enjoyed so much taking a lot of photos of him how big this truck is. Highly recommended that you visit this place. Making good memories with kids while they are still young. Love every single moment that i with them.

In Sparwood town, where the mountains rise, A giant green Titan takes the skies. A truck so vast, with wheels so tall, It makes the houses look quaint and small. Built for the mines, with iron might, It hauled the earth both day and night. Now standing proud for all to see, A monument of industry. Children climb and tourists stare, At tires taller than a grizzly bear. Its engine silent, yet stories loud, A working legend that draws a crowd. So if you roam through BC’s land, Stop where the Titan makes its stand. For Sparwood’s heart beats big and true, In that green machine of mining hue.
