The Simcoe County Museum is a fascinating destination located in Minesing, Ontario, Canada. The museum is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the history of Simcoe County, with exhibits and artifacts that span from prehistoric times to the present day.

One of the museum's most popular exhibits is the Huronia Gallery, which explores the history and culture of the Huron-Wendat people who lived in the region before European contact. The exhibit features artifacts such as pottery, tools, and clothing, as well as interactive displays that allow visitors to experience traditional Huron-Wendat activities such as fishing and beadwork.

Another popular exhibit is the Pioneer Gallery, which explores the lives of Simcoe County's early settlers. The exhibit features a number of historic buildings, including a one-room schoolhouse, a blacksmith shop, and a general store. Visitors can explore these buildings and learn about what life was like for early settlers in the region.

The museum also has a number of exhibits that explore Simcoe County's more recent history, such as the World War II Gallery, which showcases artifacts and stories from local residents who served in the war. The museum also has a number of exhibits that focus on more specific aspects of Simcoe County's history, such as the Barrie Colts Hockey Hall of Fame, which celebrates the achievements of local hockey players.

In addition to its exhibits, the Simcoe County Museum also offers a number of educational programs and events throughout the year. These programs include workshops, lectures, and hands-on activities that allow visitors to learn more about Simcoe County's history and culture.

Overall, the Simcoe County Museum is a fascinating and engaging destination that offers visitors the chance to explore the rich history and culture of the region. With its wide range of exhibits, artifacts, and interactive displays, the museum is a great place for visitors of all ages to learn...

We recently attended a kids Halloween event, and the team were fantastic! Great activities for the kids kept them engaged and entertained. The flow was very well thought out, from having a treat bag decoration station close to the entrance, and fun indoor activities, then outside for some running around to solve a mystery, a monster dance party, and a hot chocolate station (very much appreciated as it was chilly)! Love that the little prizes weren't all candy too! Little Halloween erasers, pencils, bookmarks, notepads. The kids will be getting so many candies in the next week, so it was great to see thought had been put into this as well. Great team manning the stations! Your enthusiasm and energy made the event even more fun.

Thank you so much for your assistance and support, going above and beyond for one of my kiddos especially. It was our first time visiting the museum, and we'll...

I have driven by the place many times not even noticing it, when I noticed it I remembered coming for school trips. We decided to swing in and take a peak to see if the place had changed at all and if we remembered any of the same stuff from our childhood. I gotta say place hasn't changed much, but it is still a great place to check out. The place is really big and had a lot of cool stuff. The museum inside and all the cool old style buildings throughout to the property, not to mention the train and all the assorted equipment that was used to pioneer the changing land. My favourite is the old 1920s car that was made in Barrie, and the train. You could definitely get some cool pictures here, and gain some perspective about the history...
