Simcoe County District School Board — Local services in Innisfil

My kids are in this school board and I'm strongly considering pulling them and homeschooling. The level of actual education they are receiving is dismal. My grade 6 child's teacher gives them free for all Fridays in which they are not required to work but instead can bring devices to play on...every Friday. They do yoga everyday? And have been watching Jeopardy and you tube videos which I would assume is teaching at this point. My grade 3 child currently has a decent teacher who is actually teaching but is on the cusp of retirement. This month they removed our Canadian flag completely to fly the Pride flag (which is always there just under the Canadian flag anyway) to showcase just how virtuous they are. My kids were not allowed to wear costumes on Halloween, mothers day/fathers day, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving all go unrecognized. There are never any school productions or assemblies to which parents can attend. Honestly a sad...

School won't take accountability for their actions or the actions of schools or buses. They say all children matter which is a complete lie. No one's child matters at this place.Or in schools or in the buses, your child does not get the respect.They deserve from these places that are joined by the hip. They couldn't be more different from each other.No communication. They do not care about your child.You should homeschool. The school system, the bus transportation, are not for you, they're in it for the paycheck. Because they do not care about your child. I ripped my kids out because so much was going on in 3 different grades, and none of them gave a lick of interest or concern or validation. Anything's happening. (Can't give less than 1). Here we go again.....Removal of the Canadian Flag... complete slap in the face to Canadian Veterans, alive or dead. Still waiting for my reply from last years 3 emails, as to who made the decision, and why? When I called, I was hung up on. These woke practices are just another hinderance to our children's education. Stick to the essentials to produce, respectful, articulate, and ready for the real World students. They are not there to be indoctriated and have agenda's pushed on them. Kids today are learning nothing anymore. My tax dollars could be better spent elsewhere. This (and other) School Boards should be ashamed of themselves. Stop all the virtue signalling and get back to real education, as it is now, our children are severely...
