If you like gardening and looking for different tree species or birds this is a haven. There are massive sweet gum, tulip and cottonwood along with cork, hop, paw paw, red-bud, bitternut, Katsura, hackberry, Kentucky coffee and everytime I come here I find something new. See how many you can spot. I'm not sure when this park was created but I see new plantings all the time. Read moreGreat place in the area for a walk with the dogs. They do a good job at keeping the place super clean, and the main path is large enough to walk your dog, and giving ample space for bikes.
I don't recall ever finding ticks on my dogs after a walk here.
If you are walking at dusk, you may have some mosquito's, but you will get that everywhere.
