MY FAVOURITE!!! There aren't enough words to describe just how much I love this restaurant. I have NEVER had a bad experience. To be honest, they exceed my expectations each time I go. The food is spectacular,!!! We just went for dinner this past Friday night and had Jade as our server. She was so knowledgeable when it came to the food and wine list, personable, friendly and thoughtful. No matter who the server is, the service is always top-notch. I had called a few days prior to make the reservation and I asked for a table that was a bit private. To our great surprise, as we followed the host to be seated, we ended up with our very own private nook. Surrounded by walls of wine! It couldn't have been more private and we were blown away! We started out with our appetizers: Calamari & Crostini with fig jam. Both were scrumptious! For our entrees. my partner had the Blackened Arctic Char (special) and I had the Beef Tenderloin with all of the extra toppings (worth it!). My meat was literally melt-in-my-mouth and you could cut through it like butter. My partner's fish was so delicious that I recall saying to him, "I never order fish in restaurants, but I would choose that regularly!" We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Nadia, and she was so caring and attentive. She goes around to all of her diners to make sure they're enjoying themselves and she has such a sweet demeanor. At the end of the night, I asked for some of my leftovers in a box and Jade showed up with a take out bag that not only contained my leftovers, but included a big surprise: a bottle of Chenin Blanc to take home. She said that she felt bad that our entrees took some time, but I told her, "I would've waited 2 hours for this food...it's that good!' Besides, the wait wasn't long and the company, wine & ambience made it practically unnoticeable. There is not doubt that this is the hidden gem in St. Catharines. Do yourselves a favour and go there as soon as you can. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

This was our first time at the restaurant and came based on reviews. The food was good and the service excellent but I think we have to give this restaurant another try as it didn't stand out a lot in our minds. We were brought focaccia after placing our order. It was a little disappointing because it was cold - like it was kept in a fridge or perhaps had been frozen. For appetizers my wife ordered the shrimp on beans which was delicious. The beans were cold and we wondered if it would have been better if they were a little warmer. Great spice and a touch of heat. I had the mussels which themselves tasted great and were healthy but the sauce was a bit on the boring side. Since the focaccia was also cold we didn't dip as much as we are used to. We ordered a glass of Prosecco each for the appetizer which was very tasty. Also, my appetizer came out before my wife's, not what you'd expect. For dinner my wife had the short rib, fall off the bone tender and delicious. I had the lamb ragu which was great - the sauce had lots of flavor and the basil was great. The gnocchi was hand made and had excellent body to it. Along with the meal with had a 2017 Luiano Chianti classico. It was opened and poured before our appetizers were served but could stand with being open longer. Once we had it with our meal the flavor really came out and it had an excellent body. Would highly recommend this wine. For dessert we chose the lemon cheesecake (my wife's choice) and the pecan pie. My wife really enjoyed hers and for me the pecan pie was fantastic. Not too sweet or heavy which I really enjoyed. Finally with the bill they brought us 2 small glasses of limoncello which was a great way to end the meal. Overall the portions were a good size for us. Not small but not overly large. I would recommend this place for a good meal. I think we need to try it again to see if it really stands out.

A Memorable Evening on The Valley's New Patio! Yesterday, we were fortunate enough to enjoy a lovely evening on The Valley's brand new patio. The patio's vibe is a true extension of the well-thought-out ambiance inside, creating a seamless and enjoyable atmosphere. We savored the Cajun Rainbow Trout special, the Pistachio Sweet Potato Ravioli in a cream sauce, and the Veal Parm. But here's where this excellent restaurant truly shines: my wife, a gluten-free vegetarian, was delighted with a lovely pasta dish that came with the unexpected bonus of bread. The exceptional service extended even to our dog! I realized he needed food, so I ordered him some grilled chicken. Not only did the chef personally bring it out to him, but she waited to see if he liked it. My wife and I couldn't help but wonder aloud afterward, "If this is the care and love they put into the food for our dog, imagine the passion they pour into our own meals!" All of this, paired with the exceptional service and delightful company of our server, Eden, made it truly an evening to remember. Thank you, Nadia and your team, for an outstanding experience!

So we had a reservation at this place to visit after we were done at the absolute beautiful well maintained beach that is 30 seconds away. We get there and the hostess says ill be right back. A manager comes out and tells us that we cannot sit inside with the girls in bathing suits. I said ok that's fine we will just go somewhere else. We spent all day at the beach and it was a last minute decison to support this restaurant. The girls had nothing else to wear. She tries to stop me saying well they can sit on the patio. Im sorry but you WILL NOT disrespect the girls and force them to eat on the patio like animals (people are allowed animals on the patio but not inside, this was made known). You will be seen by the SAME customers outside or inside. What if theyvneeded to use the restroom? Qould they be told they are not allowed inside to just use the grass outside? My opinion is that if you look different or have disabilities that may make you look different to also avoid this place. They apparently only care about looks so just trying to save you what we went through. I respect everyone and treat them how they treat me. There are windows and doors in the establishment. Furthermore you are 30 seconds from a beach in a not "ritzy" area. I could see if this was an upscale $100 to $200 a plate place, but we are talking $7 to $25CAD! Ive eaten at the skylon tower revolving restaurant at $70 - $100 a meal with people in swim tops. It did bother me or alter my experience in ANY way. If i didnt want to see it i could look away but everyone is important to me and i treat them how they treat me. I just saw in the menu section a picture of a "beach bum" menu. Talk about hypocritical. I could also see if you have a blanket policy and have a dress code published, but I looked beforehand and there was none. Furthermore, I would have been more receptive, although I still would have left, to the hostess telling us this. There was absolutely no reason to involve a manager. Im from the States, and everyone up here is so nice. Im up here all the time, and this is literally the first issue I have had. My recommendation is that if you are visiting the beach, DO NOT visit this place. You are not good enough for them, and they dont want your money. To the guy walking to his car that wanted to butt into something that didn't concern him, you sir have...
