Heritage North Museum Inc — Attraction in Thompson

This museum is beautiful, very well taken care of outside. I tried to take a tour inside, but rejected! My experience going to this museum was a disappointment! The museum was FINALLY opened on a Sunday afternoon! I heard that some changes have been made, so I was excited to take a friend and go for my first tour after a few years. We got inside, but the 2 young girls at the front desk didn't let us in because they ONLY EXCEPT CASH! No credit cards or debit! Unfortunately at the door theres a sign that says They except VISA! This museum is mostly closed! People passing through, or visiting Thompson are most likely to want to see the museum, to get tourist information! But unfortunately ending up in disappointment just l did! It is to bad because it's supposed to be a beautiful place as well as a very important place for the city of Thompson. What did I learn by getting excited to go see this historical museum? That it' is a disappointment that this city is not allowing its residents and visitors to see its beauty and importance! Either closed, or not letting visitors in because we don't carry cash! I suggest to take the Visa sign down, and write a not that says CASH ONLY! Not impressed visitors...

What a surprise to find such a beautiful,well stocked, amazing little museum in the heart of Northern Canada!

If you are going to Thompson, Manitoba, plan on staying a couple of days, as you will not be able to see the entire museum in just one visit.

The cool gift shop, and helpful staff make this a must see attraction for all visitors to Thompson, Manitoba. Tours are available.

So sad to see that nobody takes care of this place. It seems that it's been completely closed for a very long time. It's supposed to have so many valuable memories and treasures about Canada history and the surroundings but nobody can't visit it anymore because there is nobody in charge of it. So so...
