Big ā€œthank youā€ to Joni and the staff at UGC! Our April 2018 wedding was absolutely perfect! We couldn't have chosen a better venue. All of the staff we dealt with were so helpful and friendly. We can't thank them enough for making our wedding such a memorable day!

Joni, the event coordinator at UGC, was so helpful, and she was so organized when we met with her a month and a half before our wedding. She answered every question that we emailed her, and she responded in a timely manner every time. Joni was very accommodating with any requests that we had. We appreciated this very much. She was an absolute pleasure to work with!

In regards to the venue itself: We loved the gazebo, and the beautiful path/walkway down to it, and the bridge. It was a very picturesque and romantic spot to get married. The red carpet was a nice touch as well. The Salons room made for a beautiful reception room. The whole venue was very well kept and maintained. The food and beverage menus were impressive and well priced. It was nice having many meal options to choose from, and the variety of dishes was excellent! The food was excellent! A lot of our guests commented on how good it was. It was really nice to attend their annual tasting event as well.

We can’t say enough good things about UGC, and we will be sure to recommend them to anyone and everyone....

Awful experience yesterday. I booked a 4some and due to COVID Health Restrictions, 1 of our 4 could not join us as they were driving in from an outside health authority. When I checked in, I was charged for the full 4some and when asked why, was told that 'UBC charges all cards at 8am and if I knew that the individual wasn't going to be coming, then I should have let them know the day before so they could have backfilled with a single'. I was shocked at this behavior. I could understand if my entire group was bailing on the tee time and they were losing revenue, however 3/4 of us were there and they still charged me the extra $65. They claimed that all courses across the Lower Mainland are doing this which is false. I was at Seymour the day before, same situation and they only charged me for those that showed up. The insistence of the ProShop Staff they were justified in charging me $65 for a 1 person not able to show up was appalling. While I concede I could have called them the night before that 1 our of our 4 would not be showing, it my experience that charging for this issues has never been a concern over my 20 years of golfing. And the use of COVID as an excuse to charge me in advance and not refund me was just greedy. Very disappointing by the staff and policy at...

This is a full length golf course on the Ubc university campus on the West End. It’s certainly been a staple of golfing experience in the city for many years. There’s no plans to remove it at all, and it is a challenging full length course in its own right. It’s a bit like Parkland style course. It wants its way across both sides of the main university entrance. There is a well stocked pro shop and associated restaurant, and the main building is a popular place for events, such as weddings and other large banquets. There is ability to become a member of the course as well which buys you some access to more premium teetimes and bookings, and maybe perhaps some discounts at the pro shop. There’s an associated driving range, which is great for having it so close to the city. I find that sometimes the greeter or Marshalls on the course for whatever reason are particularly abrasive and this has been over many many visits over the years. I’m not sure why this would be usually there more experienced generation there’s no real need for that with such lovely facilities, such a nice golf course and such a laid-back atmosphere for a public venue. Despite this will continue to come again as it’s just too convenient to be located so close to the city for...

When we first saw the ceremony site at University Golf Club, we knew it was the perfect venue for us, with the cute gazebo, little bridge over a stream, and the beautiful gardens. Joni, UGC’s EventsĀ Coordinator, was always quick to respond to our emails whether it was by email or phone. She was organized and always provided clear information, whether it was for our wedding specifically or the wedding tasting event. The Banquet Team, led by Naser and Tom, was also splendid. They were polite and efficient at our wedding reception and Tom in particular was very friendly to us and our guests. The quality of the food was exceptional! Everything from the canapes to the prime rib to the late night tacos was delicious. Overall, we’re very pleased with the beautiful venue and the wonderful staff - highly recommended!

Played University Golf Club a few weeks ago and was impressed with how they handled the Covid situation. Carts were reserved, check in was quick and the course was in good shape. After golf our group had lunch in the restaurant which was set up with tables separate from one another. The food was decent and the beer was cold. If you can believe it, that was the day it rained, and poured, and we got soaked. Nice to say that the restaurant has a fantastic carrot soup plus a few other choices to warm us up!! Great course to play if your a duffer..........fairways are wide enough for most golfers........... You can't go wrong playing University Golf Club!

The University Golf Course has been around since 1929. This golf course is accessible to all levels of players and canĀ be walked or driven at your leisure. Here you have no stress for worrying about loosing your balls, because no ditches, no ponds, no for the balls over. This is a very traditional west coast golf experience with majestic, towering old growth trees and long narrow fairways that anyone can play, then this is it.
