Small green space beside the river with a narrow trail that runs parallel to the railroad tracks. There are a few piers that provide scenic views of the muddy Fraser. You’ll find numerous benches and improvised riverside sitting areas where you can enjoy the log booms and tugboat traffic. There’s also a ramp where you could carry a canoe or kayak down to the water. Great for a dog walk anytime of the day. Playgrounds, tennis courts, and a covered picnic area, too.

Close by and great place for kids to let off some steam. There’s a pier and a sea wall to walk or a separate bike path heading west. There’s a trail to the east heading towards Fraser River park which also leads to the newer riverside district. It’s about 30minute walk to A restaurant for a beer and burger.

This afternoon is very sunny with a slight, cool breeze. Combine it with traffic like smaller barges pulling km-long line of logs, huge barges, occasional aircrafts in the sky, birds by riverside & flying, people & dogs enjoying the riverside park - you get paradise on earth.

It is a nice area where you can have a ahort walk all the way to Boundary Road (but the gate ia closed at Kerr St now due to apartments development). You can have a picnic and bbq. There is washroom, kid's playground, baaketball court and tennia court as well. Seating area is everywhere. Nice waterfront view and very calm area. Family oriented housing complex with some co ops around the area as well. Only 1 restaurant along the way tho: Romer's, so bring your own drinks and snacks if you want to have a picnic...

It's always nice to have a walk through the trails here. I'm not sure how far east the trail goes on the Burnaby side, but since the Burnaby and Vancouver trails were joined, you can walk all the way from Victoria Drive to the east end of the Burnaby Trail. It probably takes 30 or 45 minutes to walk the whole trail. At Kerr Road on the Vancouver side, you could stop at the only restaurant on this Fraser-River-Trail, Romer's...
