The Gallery — Attraction in Yarmouth

I was hoping for so much more but 20 canvases of a mediocre quality (please remember art is in the eye of the beholder) in one room does not justify being termed a “gallery” I realize in these Covid times things are difficult but really Don’t bother going. With investment and some radical ideas like say bringing the “Annie Leibovitz” photo collection to Yarmouth as a major permanent attraction (but Halifax would never allow this) this could be a real asset to the south shore but the staffs embarrassment when asked “is that all of the gallery” says it all. Sorry to be very negative but that’s 20 minutes of my life I will...

Lots of empty spaces ....these could be filled to the brim with paintings of local artists. Maude Lewis circle was very interesting...personal sharing of contact with Maude...
